The outpouring of support and encouragement is heartening, but it may be financially impossible for Squaredy Cats to continue on the promising trajectory we were on. It’s frustrating to know the only thing standing in the way of brand success is money, but we also know tons of people and small businesses are struggling right now. The uncertainty is excruciating, but we’ve prepared ourselves with the idea Squaredy Cats has run its course. Whatever happens after Monday night I’ll still keep the page and make Squaredy Cats art. Heck, there’s still a lot of inventory too, so I’ll still see you at conventions. The big dream might crash, but I will never go away completely.
Whatever happens I know there are so many rooting for me and Squaredy Cats. I’ll always be thankful for you for that. Keep making art. Being profitable would be a bonus, but satisfaction comes from the work itself. Thank you for loving Squaredy Cats!

Finally! Expected to show a decent prototype sample a LOT sooner, but I was a stickler to getting the hood right. Still needs work, but I can finally show it. Would love to eventually do another GhostPuss, but with the hood. First it belongs to Numbah Nine, our Grim Reaper

Facing what seems like the inevitable can be a harrowing experience. I’m still in denial, and you should be too. I’ve seen crazier things happen. The Kickstarter project has almost twice as many followers as backers. If half of those following the project were to back it we’d probably be funded already. We’re truly grateful for everyone sharing our situation. I don’t want to stop making Squaredy Cats. It’ll always be around in some form, but plushies may not be how how it continues. We have five days to get this new line funded (and possibly into stores). Thank you for your support. Share, comment, like; anything helps.

2025 is already a roller coaster of emotions. We’re on the verge of having to give up yet here we are hitting milestones and getting interest from major retailers.
