Urgent Update
It’s time for a major fundraiser if we’re to make it through the summer. A little frustrating back story:
We’re having calls with individuals getting angry with us because we sometimes have to turn animals away and refer them elsewhere. When we reach capacity or simply don’t have the funds to take on another patient, we just can’t do it. The majority of wildlife cases we’ve accepted this year came in without donation.
Sometimes it feels like the majority of people don’t realize how difficult this job is. It’s a 24/7 365 days a year job, no days off, and we don’t get paid. Let that sink in for a moment. We rely on a volunteer team to work purely out of the kindness of their hearts. And our rescue only operates based on the good people who donate simply because they care for our wildlife.
So, at the end of the day when our work is met with anger, we’ve all worked around the clock, no one made a penny, and we struggled to make ends meet for the animals, yes it can be a little frustrating. Sometimes we have to put posts like this out as a reminder, and to raise awareness to the difficulties wildlife rehabbers face.
Those of you who choose to support our rescue, we really couldn’t be more thankful. Our rescue can only work as much as the money stretches.
As another reminder, please, PLEASE do not dump animals on our property or leave wildlife unannounced. We are stretched so, so thin right now.

We provide this service for free to the community, the animals need somewhere to go, and we are the only place who offers this service in our area. But we unfortunately aren’t magical wizards with a really cool spell to make money fall from the sky. We need your help.
