Faith Hill Farm

Faith Hill Farm Change is the spice of life. We are spicing it up by adding Cut Your Own Flowers to our operation! Faith Hill Farm is a subsidiary of PPK Acres. Aack!

I married into a family who had decades of experience truck farming and selling at Farmers Markets. Over 20 years ago I began to focus on growing and selling direct to florists and small restaurants. The world keeps on changing and so have we. In addition to the above we have done bouquets to businesses, custom CSA's for small businesses and sold to DIY brides and table arrangements for weddings.

Time for another change - CUT YOUR OWN! For decades people have wanted to come see our flowers. It would be like walking into my house to see dishes in the sink and the beds unmade. Well, we have the beds made, but it is still a rustic experience. Make sure to wear footwear and clothes for outdoors. We will have some floral scissors, gloves, bottled water and some bug spray. Quart size ball jars will be filled with water containing a hydration and nutrients. Beginning hours will be Saturdays from 8 am - 11 am. Other days may be added and will schedule other days for groups as requested. A group is simply 3 or more people. Wholesale pricing is available for those DIY brides and event planners.

$20 for all you can fit in a quart size ball jar. If you want less, just $1 per stem. $1 for the jar. It is reusable and refundable at the end of the season! This is our first year so all constructive feed back would be appreciated. Should we add more days? Evening hours? Floral CSA's for next summer? Have ready made bouquets for purchase? We look forward to seeing you soon!

It was a slow start ... So hot!! But our regular supporter (Nancy) started us off at 5 pm and things picked up as it cooled down. Thanks so much to all who came. We will be adjusting our hours along with the weather to make it a better experience for you and better for the flowers! That said, we will be open at 8 am on Saturday and ask that you arrive @ 11 am so we are done by noon and the heat of the day.

Had to share. This sunflower (we did NOT plant) must be at least 15 feet tall and the ONLY one blooming on property. The ones we planted are only about 4' tall with NO blooms. Guess we are not in charge!

Our sincere thanks to our return and new customers who braved the heat. Keep watching our page to see days and hours. We might start Saturdays at 8 am on HOT Saturday mornings! We plan to be open again this Tuesday 4-7 pm. BTW, you can arrive at 7 pm and still cut your own! We will be here.

07/16/2024

Addendum: This is only our second year if Cut Your Own and the weather has created a far from normal growing season. As I work on weeds I realize that realistically, an abundance of blooms will likely be another week. We have been excited to welcome you back, but do not want to disappoint. We will be here pulling weeds if you decide to stop in!

OPENING NEXT WEEK!

We want you to enjoy your experience and feel there is value in an abundance of blooms. We still are not there. Our plan is to open next Tuesday night and Saturday morning. Evidently the established perennials loved all the rain. Sadly, it has stunted some of the annuals by affecting root growth. Who knew?

We had hoped to be open for our first Cut Your Own this Saturday. We have been waiting for all this green to bloom! It could happen. So check back!

The simple things can bring great joy. I have never had peonies. After my MIL passed, my husband brought some of her plants to our place. A knautia and some buds ... So sweet.

A couple of our youngest helpers. 4 year old Zaid planting Broom Corn with the "Boss." And 2 year old Viktor (my great nephew),
hanging out with his new best friend, "the boy" (my grandson). So many heartfelt moments. So blessed for all who come and "work for food!"

Perennials are popping. These Southern Charm Verbascum are the only ones blooming right now! So pretty!

This ground cover started to appear in mass last summer. Even more beautiful this year! The snow on the mountain was planted almost 30 years ago and seems much happier. Love seeing it as I leave the house to W**D perennials and when I return. Photo updates of what is growing soon! P.S. subscriptions still available - 1x a week for 8 weeks or 2x a month for 4 for bouquets! Message me for more information.
