Farm Camp Farm Camp: A place where kids can learn about the outdoors, take in nature, and experience life on

Farm Camp was created by a mother and daughter team for children to have fun and learn about nature. Kids are happy when they are outside, playing, learning, and discovering how things work. Themes include chickens and eggs, worms and insects, bird and flights, garden party, 3 billy goats gruff, water, painting, games, books, hands on learning....

Hello friends,
We've had lots of inquiries about Farm Camp 2023 and wanted to let you know that we are unfortunately unable to host again this year due to continued construction and disruption around the property. We wish you all well in your summer plans and the animals will surely miss you!

Regrets,
Martha

Dear Farm Camp Supporters,

We write this message with a sad heart and are working on ways to reach out to kids and nature in the future....check out our video from last year which always makes us smile and live out those fond memories of simpler times....

Thank you for your interest in Farm Camp 2022 and for your support in the past. This time of year always comes with great anticipation, but this year we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel Farm Camp due to circumstances beyond our control. 70th Street will be closed to traffic as a new round about is constructed on the west corner of Argenta, and is widened. Our private road will be deconstructed and lowered significantly to meet the new 70th. In addition there will be development and large equipment in the property behind us. With limited access and safety concerns we will not be able to enjoy our weeks with little farmers this July.

The chickens have continued to lay eggs all winter, the ducks are surviving below zero (not sure how), and Solomon, Joseph and the goats have munched their way through several recycled Christmas trees. We would love for you to pay a visit to the bunnies and chicks in the spring and summer. Stay in touch!

Send us a note, message us on FB, text Martha if you would like a visit!

Sincerely,
Linda and Chris Becker

That’s a wrap farm camp. Had another great week hosting a second round of children. We harvested and had fun with water today!

Have a great rest of your summer!
We hope we have inspired some future farmers, veterinarians, environmentalists, and artists!

Thank you to our staff and the farm for providing such a valuable experience.

During our morning chores, a few kids worked really hard to make friends with the llama. He’s pretty stubborn. Ask if they have been blessed by the llama? “Llamaste”

We learned about decomposing leaves and created a magic mixture to plant our veggies in. Dragonflys and leaf lanterns went home today along with lots of creative art and necklaces.

We ate shakin’ eggs for our snack and gave those chickens and bunnies more love today!

We can’t get enough of the baby bunnies. Learned about photosynthesis today, worked hard on our projects, made new friends, had a ball with the parachute, and stayed busy all day on the farm!

We are so happy to welcome so many new farm campers this week. It was another new day of meeting all the animals, starting our projects, and identifying trees.

We wrapped up our first week of farm camp and had a great day for “Water day”. Campers harvested our snack in the garden and made chicken soup, corn on the cob, and rhubarb cake too!

Thank you for choosing farm camp and we hope you learned a lot about nature, animals, caring for the earth and friendships!

Have a wonderful rest of your summer.

Next week, round #2 😊🐰🐥🦆🐴🐑🐓🌿🌻🥚

We are super proud of the kids and how they handled some rain during farm camp. The three billy goat gruff skit never gets old. We mixed our own magic potting mixture and planted vegetables today. Thank you to the chickens for providing us our shakin’ eggs for our yummy snack!

Lots of interest in the bunnies today…. Who is going to take one home!?🐰🐰🐰😉

The farm and animals are ready and we look forward to greeting all of our first session kids tomorrow!

This is our 12th year of Farm camp and my mom always amazes me with her genius curriculum and master mind behind the week. My dad is busy drilling holes in dragon fly sticks as we speak and getting the yard ready…. We make a great team and it’s just a joy to be able to do this together.

Look for photos throughout the week.
