In play groups she is dog social and can be a bit more lively acting as the "hall monitor" trying to settle things down if she thinks the canine kids are being a bit too rowdy. Hi, we're Biscuit and Gravy, the dynamic duo of tail-wagging fun! We're two peas in a pod, always up for a game of fetch or a good belly rub. Our journey to the shelter is a hilarious tale. One day, we decided to chase our tails, but ended up running in circles until we got dizzy and stumbled into a pet taxi! The driver thought we were his next fare and off to the shelter we went. Talk about a silly mix-up! But don't worry, we're not all goofiness. We're also sweet, playful, and energetic pups who'd love to bring joy to your home. Maxine so deserves her forever home, so check YES for Maxine! Maxine is a smart and curious girl. She has a very playful nature and enjoys life to the fullest. She knows "sit" and "paw". Maxine enjoys playing with toys, especially with the ball. She's not always interested in treats but takes them nicely. Maxine is a play group all-star joining in almost every play group. She can play with all types of dogs and adjusts her style accordingly. We were told by a former foster parent that Maxine does not want to share her family inside the home so we are suggesting that she might be best as an only pet or to try a slumber party (trial adoption) prior to adopting if you have other pets. Maxine is estimated to be 6 years old and weighs 46 pounds. In a foster home she spent her days as a couch potato and following the family around the house. Her best friend was a 3 year old child whom she adored. She slept in a crate at night. She is completely housebroken. She loves to go to parks and other places but she will need continued leash training. The anti-pull harness works well for her. This big teddy bear is ready for a loving home! Maverick is a loving boy who enjoys outdoor adventures, especially splashing around in the kiddie pools. Maverick loves looking for lizards and can be found staring at the trees just waiting to find one moving around. When he tires of lizard hunting he is very content to lay in the yard just enjoying his outdoor time. And as you can see, Maverick is a smart guy and knows the commands of sit, stay, and paw! He loves tennis balls and will play with you for as long as you want. He will run to fetch it when you throw it but then slowly walk back in your direction with it hidden in his mouth. He will give it up when you ask but you can tell he doesn’t really want to because he loves it so much. He is estimated to be five years old and he weighs 73 pounds. He is easy to leash and content to walk by your side. In a foster home he has proven himself to be housebroken, did not get on furniture, and has great house manners. He is a Velcro dog and attaches to his people very strongly. Wherever you are, that’s where he wants to be. You can save money on toys because all he wants is tennis balls. He rides very well in a car and is easy to manage. He sleeps peacefully through the night and is content just to be in a comfortable home with a kind person to call his own. Brodie is a loving boy. He was great in a home with kids. He has great house manners - never destructive, housebroken, and doesn't wander around much. You can usually find him relaxing on his bed. He loves to run so a fenced yard would be helpful. He rides in the car well and enjoyed walks in the park. He is social and greets new people nicely. He is eager to please and listens to his person well. Brodie has been great in doggie play groups with the other dogs but he does not like to share his family in the home. He will do best as an only pet. He knows sit, stay, come, and with me. He enjoys toys and hard rubber balls are his favorite. Brodie is a big boy at 90 pounds but he is easy to handle.
