If you have apple trees, keep your eyes out for these hanging in cedar trees around now. This is the first stage of cedar apple rust. It starts on cedar trees then infects apple trees causing them to lose their leaves and fruit early in the season.

“Cedar apple rust is a disease caused by the fungal pathogen Gymnosporangium juniperi-virginianae, which requires two hosts: apple and red cedars / ornamental junipers to complete its lifecycle. On apple, the pathogen can infect leaves and fruit of susceptible cultivars and may cause premature defoliation if infection is severe.”

This handsome boy passed away in his sleep laying on his cat tree this past Saturday, he never did get to experience living at the farm house but we decided to bury him there so I could make a little memorial for him. He would've loved watching all the birds out the windows there. R I.P. my sweet Gizmo.

These bunnies are escape artists! I had them in separate areas because they were fighting a little bit and they push open the gate to the cage and the other jumps over a 3 foot gate lol good thing they are cute and sweet 😀
