Walked away with our first ever World Championship buckle today when Finn (KR Blue Bonnet) won Reserve Champion Amateur Performance Stallions! BBS ImUrHuckleberry placed 4th out of 5 in a SUPER competitive halter horse class, and for a ranch bred stud that’s an accomplishment! The competition here is FIERCE and we LOVE IT!!

We now have 4 studs, and we definitely don’t need that many! Since our other 3 studs are money earning and World Champions, Maverick needs to go. He is 7 panel negative, and color tested Ee Aa. He is easy to handle, stands tied, loads well, and takes care of business. He was not broke to ride yet due to letting him finish growing. He stands a solid 14.2hh but is THICK!!! Super easy keeper, keeps a 🍑 bottom on pretty much air. GENTLE boy, able to be handled and loved on by our 6 year old daughter (see pics).

For the first time in 8 years, we don’t have to worry as much about the cold snap. We finally live in a house with insulation, so it won’t be 19 degrees outside and only 21 degrees inside. We don’t have to worry about our pipes bursting and not having water. We don’t have to worry about having no heat because we have a fireplace. And for our animals? We don’t have to worry because they all have so much extra food, protein buckets, coastal hay, and alfalfa to keep them full and warm. And if it sleets? No worries, we have enough blankets. We are just so happy that for the first time in a long time, we don’t have to stay awake for 30+ hours checking everything and praying we make it through with minimal damage. It’s not a lot to most, but to us the piece of mind is everything ❤️

The show babies got turned out in their winter paddock today! Time to play, grow, and learn together for a few months! Want their minds nice and ready for shows next year, and that to me means time to be babies is needed! 🥰

This gorgeous c**t was reserved, but his new owners had to pass their deposit on to a 2024 foal due to life circumstances. I debated keeping him to be a show gelding, but we already have 4 babies were are keeping, and that’s enough this year! So he is available! He should finish around 14.3-15.1 hh, based on how you feed him. I have videos and pictures of his full sister from 2022, and if he turns out half as thick and beautiful as she does you can double your money in a year! Just let him grow!

Pedigree is in pictures, and videos/pics of full sibling are available via PM. This c**t is black, going grey. He will come fully registered AQHA, and is PtHA/ABRA/ARHA/FQHA/NFQHA eligible.

I’ll be honest y’all, I didn’t expect to do well at the Color Breed Congress. We are a small breeder, we raise foundation quarter horses (mostly Hancocks), and we just started in the show world this year. January, to be exact. Lots of hard lessons learned, and lots of blood, sweat and tears were poured into all of our kids! But I am just so proud of how our little team did at the Color Breed Congress! We showed up, and we were COMPETITIVE, which is more than I ever dreamed! I can’t thank Rylee from 2R Ranch and Equestrian Center enough for taking the babies to the next level! Can’t wait until next year, when these kiddos are yearlings and my sweet girl Stormy is under saddle.

We got our first awards picture from the ABRA World Show! Pictured is KR Trace of Molly (Adelia) and she did amazing considering we pulled her out of the pasture two days before the show! She is a wonderful 3 year old mare, and really takes care of our small person in the arena. She won us 3x Top 5 placings, one NSBA champion, and one Reserve World Champion placing! So proud of her and our little lady, Claire!
