Good Sunday evening! It's been a busy, chilly week for sure! This week's menu is: Corn/potato chowder with smoked turkey sausage (comes with bread), and Mediterranean Baked Chicken Thighs on Penne pasta (Chicken thighs braised with green/black olives, tomatoes, veggies and herbs). Meals are $12; $10 for 65+. Meals will be available for delivery/pickup Thursday, February 13; delivery from 12-2, pickups from 4-6. You may also opt to pick up at the NEW Feed the Joy shop located at 106 E. Main on Saturday, February 15 from 11-3 - Just let me know which day so I can get you on the right list! Feed the Joy shop has moved! We are now at the Hook'd building @ 106 E Main Street! In partnership with Gold Country Marketing, we are working to provide many services to the community. We are still setting up some portions of our place, but there are many fun things available for you to browse thru! Currently open Friday thru Monday, 11-3; hours will expand as it all gets settled in! I look forward to seeing you all and continuing the legacy of service to the community. Stay joyful!

Good Sunday evening! It's been brisk the past few days so this week's menu is meant to warm you up! This week we're having: Spaghetti Carbonara Pie (spaghetti with carbonara sauce, with a bit of smoked turkey sausage and bacon - the normal pancetta is a bit difficult to find around here, so I got creative!), and a Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole. Meals are $12 ($10 for 65+). Meals will be available for delivery and pick up Thursday, February 6; delivery from 12-2 and pick ups from 4-6pm. You may opt to pick up on Saturday at the shop (newly relocated to the Hook'd building - more news on that in a bit!) - just let me know if you want to pick up Saturday so I get you on the right list! French Onion Gravy on mashed potatoes, and Asian Pork Soup (pork tenderloin, veggies, glass noodles, ginger, sesame and soy in broth). Salad is $12 ($10 for 65+) and soup is $10/quart. Meals will be available for delivery or pick up Thursday, January 23; delivery from 12-2 and pick ups from 4-6pm. Good Sunday evening! Things are poppin' at Feed the Joy....our motto is "Strive to Thrive in '25!" and we are on track to better serve our community! More to come on that very soon! This week's menu is: Chicken Bog (odd name, but a beloved low-country dish from my time living in the South - Chicken, smoked turkey sausage, veggies and a bit of gravy mixed with rice - stick to your ribs and keeps you warm!), and a Vegetarian Curry (LOTS of veggies in a curry sauce - not spicy! but definitely fragrant with herbs and spices - served on rice). Well, we made it through the year! I am blessed to have you all in my sphere and look forward to keeping on keeping on! There have been and will be many challenges for all of us, but we will hold each other up, eh? The motto for Feed the Joy this year is "Strive to Thrive in '25!" (Thanks Chuck and Irene for putting this thought in my mind!) This is mantra for EVERYONE, no matter the circumstances, no matter where you are in life's journey....Feed the Joy wishes everyone the best, and hope that this community will come together and make it so for ALL. In all that is the message that is the life-blood of Feed the Joy---always be humble and kind.

It's a chilly, damp day today! Brrrrrr! Feed the Joy shop is open 11-3 today! We have warm knitted hats, fingerless gloves, kids slippers and other goodies in the shop. Those hats will keep you toasty if you decide to go play in the snow! Be safe out there and stay joyful!

Brrrrrr! Another cold, wet day here in Ione! Feed the Joy shop is open until 3pm. Just received 2 nice warm coats (sized small and medium), so c'mon down if you or someone you know is in need. It is Samaritan Sunday at Feed the Joy shop! We have gleaned a nice selection of sweaters, jeans, slacks and tshirts, along with some super cute & WARM kids slippers.
