Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Due to the recent influx of canine respiratory issues, if your dog is showing any signs of respiratory difficulty, (coughing, wheezing, labored breathing while at rest, etc.) we request you reschedule your appointment.
If we notice any difficulty when your pet arrives, we will send them home and reschedule.
Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

*** We have not seen any evidence of this respiratory issue at Hawk Dog. ***

Guess who's available for adoption?!?😍 Charlotte has healed completely from her leg amputation and is doing great. Her foster has been working on clicking training and socializing and she's done fantastic for a young pup who's already endured quite a traumatic event.

Charlotte is looking for her place to call home now, could that be with you?

For more information about Charlotte and our application/adoption process, check out our website here:. https://icanimalcenter.org/1915/Charlotte

Did you know ear tipping cats is a universal sign of a community cat? This cat is known to live in the neighborhood, has been altered so they cannot reproduce, they have been vaccinated, and are likely microchipped. Please leave these cats in the community if they seem healthy. You can feed them and befriend them if you are both willing!

Your donations help fund the Barn & Working Cat Program which gives feral cats a chance at life. These cats often prefer living outdoors and staying "wild". We think it's important to give feral cats this opportunity whenever we can.

I remember when I first started AMO Pet Care, we did nothing but pet care for all animals. From birds, to servicing fish tanks, to dog walking. For the last year, we have been focusing on providing exceptional services for dogs. This growth has been everything plus more. Being that we service only dogs now, we felt it was time for a complete name change. Though we will always be AMO Pet Care LLC as an entity we will be doing business as Pack AMO. We also have a new webpage. Go check it out pack-AMO.com. Let’s continue to build this awesome brand and Pack. Leeee go!

We found a ladder on the way in today. Here is a link to the post on craigslist:

Please spread the word to help us return the ladder to it's owner. We are sure someone is rather distraught over the loss.

We found a ladder this morning near the waterfront HyVee / Hills Bank / Foster Appliance area. It had fallen from a vehicle and was laying in the road. Contact us if you can give a description of...

Thanos is a very intelligent young boy who is finally ready for adoption. He was so scared when he first arrived that he didn't even know how to be a dog, he was unsure of being touched, going outside and wouldn't eat. After a few weeks of being with his foster who worked with him, he is learning to be a dog and finally ready for his forever home. Thanos wants to learn and he is incredibly smart, it shows as he is a fast learner. He now will go outside to potty, eats his meals and loves to be petted. He has even taken walks on a leash which was a major challenge for him.

Thanos is looking for a home to be patient with him, he may need some time to adjust to a new home and routine. He is still scared and will need some work, so he needs a family that wants to teach him things. He does well with dogs and cats and definitely wants to play with them. His foster cat siblings end up being chased as he doesn't quite know how to interact with them yet. We think Thanos would do well with another dog who enjoys playing as he is getting bored with his older foster sibling who tires out quickly. We think Thanos would do well with kids over 5 due to being a bit scared, we would recommend dog savy kids as he will take some time to warm up.

Due to Thanos being a bit scared, we recommend he have a fence as he could be a flight risk if startled, this is most likely something he will grow out of. We know that Thanos is a great dog and will thrive with some time, love and patience.

Thanos is set to be neutered, current on shots and prevention, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 and adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. If you are interested in meeting Thanos, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt

This is Piper and she is wondering if you are her new home. Piper is a 15 month old, 17 pound Jack Russell Terrier. Piper is an active and athletic girl who needs a family who can keep up with her energy level. She requires a physically fenced yard where she can run and play safely. She is good on a leash and would love regular walks. Piper loves to chase so her new home should not have cats or chickens. She seems to especially be drawn to chasing birds. Piper is good with humans of all sizes especially if they play with her.

If you think Piper is a good fit for your home, please go to our website at www.furfunrescue.org and fill out the adoption application. Piper is ready to start her new life, maybe with you.
