Everyone meet Pongo’s Pal, Maggie!

Maggie is a 8 month old Goldendoodle and is quite the spitfire. I’ve been walking Maggie since May and I’m just now getting to the point where I feel comfortable walking her and Pongo together. It’s extremely important to me to build that relationship with your dog and learn about their likes and dislikes.

One thing I’ve learned about Maggie is she needs to be played with for about 5 minutes prior to me walking her. She’s usually in her kennel for the majority of the day so naturally she’s excited to see me. It’s not necessary, but she’s a puppy that has lots of energy.

Maggie also LOVES to dunk her head in the water bucket and that’s why her head is all wet! 🤣🤪

Life has been pretty crazy for us and I had slow down quite a bit and focus on our little family, but I am accepting new dogs if you are in need. Hello everyone!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the support the last few weeks! It's been so much fun learning about each dog and learning their personalities. I think dogs and humans are a lot alike in that way and really goes to show that everyone is truly so different. That's also what makes each person or dog, special.

It was around this time last year that I thought about walking dogs for a little side gig but with treatment I obviously had to put the idea on the back burner. A few things I've noticed when he doesn't get walked are: anxiety is higher, doesn't sleep as good, and he's just not as happy. This winter was extremely hard on the both of us and as you can see in the picture, we are SO happy that the weather is nicer. 😍🙌

One thing that has made walks more enjoyable are bringing treats along with! I had a really hard time with him pulling me all the time until I starting bringing some high reward treats and things improved drastically. His favorite right now are cheese cubes and lunch meat. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, but these are things that he doesn't get other than walks.

Foster park is the first stop on our morning walk! This land used to belong to relatives of Jan Foster. Jan Foster is our neighbor and the sweetest lady. She boards dogs and has a fenced in back yard. She is willing to let me use it for puppy play time for Pongo and other dogs that I will be walking. This is a great option for dogs that have a ton of energy and just want to play before I take them back home!

Welcome to Pongo's Pals! I am Naomi Staker and I am Pongo's Mom! Pongo is a 1 year old labradoodle that loves his walks and thrives when he is around dogs. Pongo is the happiest dog after a long walk as well as some social time with other dogs. I would love to walk multiple dogs at the same time but at the very beginning I will only be doing 1-1 walks to build a good relationship with your dog before we introduce Pongo or other dogs. If your dog doesn't get a long with other dogs I will only be doing 1-1 with them for the safety of everyone.

I will only be walking dogs in Iowa Falls. Once you apply we will do a meet and greet and chat about expectations and have I will have you fill out a questionnaire. If it's a good fit, we will work out a payment plan and scheduling!
