😂🤣 Blue Star Blooper!!!!

Y’all hear me preach all the time that training is more about the relationship you build with that dog than anything anyone teaches it! Here is a perfect example of that!

Little Gambit was just finishing up his 5-week off-leash course with us. Here we are working outside, and I have his e-collar remote in my hand, and I’m pressing away when I need to. I thought he did so good. Took him back inside and realized HE’S NOT WEARING THE E-COLLAR!!! 😂😂😂 The black collar blended in with the black kennel🥴! Also a good reminder that the TOOLS DO NOT TRAIN THE DOG! YOU do!!!!

We laughed all day about this!!!

Huge Congrats to Sunday & Oakley, Shiloh, Gambit and Rose and their humans!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
These guys all just graduated from our 3-week bootcamp, with the exception of Gambit the Lab puppy…he just completed our 5-week off-leash course. These guys are well on their way to a happier and healthier relationship with their families, and with the skills and tools and education their families got, they’ll be able to keep them on track! And of course, as always, we’ll be along for the ride!

Big Congrats to Oakley, Bear and Morgan!! All 3 of these guys graduated from our 3-week boot camp and are on their way to a much happier and more harmonious home! Bear’s future (the Rott) will be as a service dog for his owner as he grows and matures, and we’ll be with them along the way to help. And poor Miss Morgan (the Pittie) had some huge changes and trauma in her life and came in pretty closed up and shut down. But we helped build up her confidence, and helped her be a little bit more comfortable in her own fur, and gave her some skills and her human some skills and tools to help them navigate the road ahead of her! And of course Mr. Oakley is already attending Daycare twice a week!👍🏽

These guys all did an amazing job, both dog and human, and as always, we will be here with them along the way to help them and guide them!

A MILLION percent THIS!!!!! I cannot explain this to y’all enough. A strong recall is built on the relationship you have with that dog! We TEACH it as an “obedience” cue…YOU BUILD IT with the RELATIONSHIP you build with YOUR dog! If you’re not more interesting than a stick, you won’t get it! Use STRUCTURED play to help build it.
Happy Trainin’ y’all!!

Most dog owners feel recall is a standalone command. But when it comes down to it, you need to give a reason for your dog to come back to you.

If you treat your dog like crap, expect a crappy relationship.

If you treat your dog with respect, provide structure, fulfill their needs, and bring the joy out in them, you will get that in return.

Recall doesn’t come quickly, neither do new relationships ships.

You gotta work on it to make it stronger.

Heres a little tidbit for y’all! If you lose your pet, we HIGHLY recommend contacting Aerial Solutions ASAP! They’re are a drone recovery service based in Imlay City!! We’ve watched them help tons of pet owners, and their response is quick!

This is THE FIRST TIME we have been on vacation without closing business!!! That is 1000% because I have the most kickass staff in the universe!! You’ve seen their faces, but Nancy, Becca, Carson, Isabel, Sara and Lydia, we appreciate you all so incredibly much! THANK YOU ALL for allowing us to be able to do this!! The machine kept running, and I have NEVER had a more relaxing vacation in my life!!
