Let's talk spiders -- love 'em be hate 'em, spiders are an incredibly important part of the food chain, both as predators and prey. They help maintain a balanced ecosystem by controlling insect populations and as a tasty treat for other animals. This balance is essential for the overall health and stability of the environment.

Now, for those afraid of spiders, don't worry -- this Bird Eater Tarantula isn't local so you won't come across this big guy in your garden. The ones that *are* in your garden are harmless and just want to want those pesky mosquitos so let 'em be

Story time 📖
After the Oddities & Curiosities Expo in Charlotte, I received a custom order request from someone who came by my booth. She sent a photo of a small mouse in a house holding a mushroom teacup that had already found a home and asked if I could create her a piece similar to that OR an opossum. Since I couldn't recreate the mouse piece exactly and didn't have an opossum in my inventory I said ... "hear me out, I have an idea..."

She let me run with the Ra-ssum idea of making a rat look like an opossum sipping tea from a mushroom teacup just like the mouse she liked so I could intertwine all of her ideas. This little lady is on her way to her new furever home with Lauren! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to create this for you and for giving me creative freedom!

The ♂️ Comet Moth, also known as the Madagascan Moon Moth, is hands down one of my favorite moths. You can identify it as a male because of its long tails and bushy antenna -- it's one of the largest silk moths in the world!

More proof that tropical regions breed the most stunning insects 😍 This gorgeous Paracyphocrania major (Orange spotted green winged Walking Stick Bug) is no exception. Fun fact: many walking stick species can reproduce parthenogenetically, meaning females can lay eggs that hatch into more females without needing a male. How's that for feminism?

It's official! The 🌸 are blooming and the 🐝 are buzzing! Pollen is a thick blanket across the south and as much as my sinuses hate it, bees use pollen to feed their larvae, which is crucial for the colony's growth and survival.

✨ Pre-market yoga is FREE, we just recommend your bring a mat if you have one! It begins at 10:15 and takes place at Commonhouse Aleworks.

✨ The market is free to the public and open for all to join us. We are a safe space and promote a community environment of diversity, openness, and inclusivity.

✨ We are dog friendly and welcome all well-behaved pups on leashes
