We are getting ready for a busy day of fluffing pups before Thanksgiving. Just a reminder that we will be closed Thursday and Friday but we will be open on Saturday for anyone who may need the gravy washed off of them. 😏🐶🐱

Good morning fur friends. I hope you all have had an amazing week. I just wanted to take a minute to thank you all for this last year. In five days it will be one year since I suffered a heart attack. It was 6 am on a Monday the week of Thanksgiving. I was getting my boys ready for school and gearing up for a very busy week in the shop and then I wasn't. By 9 am I was in my hospital room wondering what all had just happened. My phone was ringing off the hook with people wanting to make appointments and then there were the ones who already had appointments that I then had to cancel. On top of everything I had just gone through I was scared my small business wouldn't survive this. Boy was I wrong. Every one of you waited for me to come back to work and not only did we survive we have grown. I will never be able to express the immense gratitude I have for your continued support. Thank you just isn't enough!!
I will be closed on Wednesday next week (11/20) to celebrate with my family me still being alive one year later. 🍾 Then it is back to business getting everyone ready for a Thanksgiving.

First, Happy Veterans Day from my family to all who have served. Today we honor the head of our household and namesake of Barkleys who is a United States Navy Veteran.

Second, last night the admin team of the Citizens of the Town of Irmo and Surrounding Friends tried to out me for reporting a post regarding one members veterans day grievances, without tagging me or allowing me to defend myself, then approved and deleted my defense this morning. They have no control and can't have their power trip here so if you saw the post in question, here is the truth. Although this post was not at all related to my business(s) many of you follow me from there and attacking me in the manner in which they did could have a negative impact on me.

All I did was report a post for MEMBER CONFLICT which was clearly happening in the COMMENTS, then they chose to screen shot that and share it within that post like petty children. What were they looking to accomplish by doing that other than more conflict? The post and attack on me are still up but my defense and critism of them has been removed.

Happy Friday fur friends.
I am not sure if I've ever shared with you all that I also have a small in home custom bakery called Patty Cakes!
As soon as I saw it I knew that I wanted to add some reatil to our front lobby. Products that I know and trust, that I've used for years, and that benefit our clients in the best way. I never thought my two worlds would collide and
then my kids had the idea of a pupcakery so obviously we're going to do that. We are slow going and don't want to rush anything as our top priority remains offering the very best in grooming and pet care but with that being said we will be offering homemade dog treats starting next week.

Hello my furry friends. Can you believe Thanksgiving is only FIVE weeks away? 🤯
That means we are getting busier and our holiday appointment spots will fill up quickly. We will still be taking new clients during this time.

This is Bullet. Bullet came in this week for his last grooming with me before him and his family make the big move to Germany. Bullet is quite a character. He always comes sliding in the door for his appointment because he's moving so fast. He thinks bath time is a pool party, but when it's time for his haircut he is all business.
We hope Bullet and family have a safe move and a pawsome time in their new home. We will miss definitely miss them. 🐾
