There is hope for our pets in Monroe County, thanks to a group of dedicated veterinarians and support staff who have formed Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services! In support to help offset their costs, I have organized a Wine Fundraiser through ONEHOPE Wines, who produces award winning wines out of Napa Valley California. Choose your wine and it will be delivered right to your home. 20% of each bottle sold will go to the the Rochester Emergency Veterinary Services.

I am offering this fundraiser in honor of my dear Murphy who past away earlier this year of Cancer. Here is the link to order your wine

Made with love from California’s finest grape growing regions, our wines give hope to the people and causes that matter most to you. With 10% of your purchase donated from every bottle, we are nourishing the future for generations to come.

Thank you to those that came out last night for our meeting, those who became new members and those that donated. In response to the question as to what part of the beach is public and the rules which are enforceable by the Town of Irondequoit, please see the following https://ecode360.com/6407044. The area is that part of the beach from the Coast Guard to Tone Terrace that is up to 15 feet from the high water mark. We also discussed clearing the brush along the beach that falls within the public area including end of Washington Ave extension and the Beach part of Bateau Park. Things we are looking to do this year for community activities include Pig Roast/Barbeque, Neighborhood Flea Market. Next meeting with be later this month, and we will post the date. Please feel free to message us to reach us. Thank you!

We are having an open meeting tonighte at Bateau Park at 6:30 PM. We are independent of the Town of Irondequoit, meaning we work for you and not them. We were organized to protect the culture, beauty and character of the Lake Ontario shore communities. At the meeting we will review the following: 1) New Waterfront zoning and development- how this impacts you-including Lakefront owners 2) parking signs 3) beach use and enforcement 4) public and private access to the beach 5) how to report violations. We are a privately funded not for profit corporation. We will have vintage maps of Irondequoit for sale, and will be taking up donations as well. We hope that you can join us. Here is the link to the Waterfront Development Plan:

What happens if you refuse EMINENT DOMAIN New York State:
Assuming you decline, the government will file an action in court to seize your property through eminent domain. Then, the court schedules an Order of Taking. This is a court hearing in which the government argues that it attempted to purchase your land for a fair price and is justified in seizing it for public use.

So, we have the TOWN with their Master Plan for Summerville! It all started moving forward with a little property called 301 LakeFront, and the Town approving the developer to build in the lot north of the LakeFront right of way. NOW, the Lake Front owners all said "hey I am glad someone is building there and it's not blocking my view" We call that thinking, seeing the trees and not the forest. By allowing one parcel to build in the northern lot, it is creating precedent for the Town to approve building on lots north of Lake Front right of way. Well, now the Town's Master Plan is coming to light and they will start with the rezoning along the Lake by 2nd street and move west Why should this matter to Lake Front Owners? Because Lake Front defined your 2 lots and it still does. The Town can buy your front parcel if they decide at a fraction of what it's worth to build these nice big condos right in front of your house! Oh and if you refuse to accept their tiny offer for your property, well then, you see above what happens if you refuse. If you wonder WHY 301 is so important- picture Lake Owners what happens as the commercialization starts. You have the power and its in your deeds- restricting building north of the Lake Front walk. You either choose to enforce it now, or it may be too late when you think this will never happen to you!

There’s a neighborhood association meeting coming up on the 17th organized by the Summerville Neighborhood Association. We are not affiliated with this organization, but ideally would love to be! We will be at this meeting as well to show support for Summerville!

For all residents that were part of the prior lawsuit regarding building on the Beach back in the ‘80’s, if you are DONE with having to sue every time the property at the end of Washington and St Paul is sold in order to protect your deeded beach rights, please contact us! The Association has brought and action against the developer. This is not a small cottage that you were led to believe. The plans are below.

Here’s what we know about what is happening at the Lake. New utility poles went up a few weeks ago. The owner of 301 Lakefront still intends to bury wire, BUT now is having the pole moved to the Washington Ave extension. Why this matters? There are going to be guidelines placed several feet to support the approx 25 ft pole. This may affect the health and safety of residents using the Washington Ave Extension. Be aware that the wires are already up on the pole near the street on the Beitry Beach Easement and RG&E has been notified of the concern and liability. There is another blue flag that is placed on the Beitry Beach easement for more electrical work, we are finding out the details. While we have a lawsuit in place today, we continue to ask for your support. If you do nothing, you can lose it and never get it back. Once it’s gone-it’s gone.

Copied from Summerville Neighborhood Association There’s a couple of cute little brown tannish dogs running around. They are tagged. I tried to read the tag but they were too skiddish. I left water out. Summerville Drive area. They seemed scared and cold, wouldn’t come.
