Come behind the scenes with us for a dog's dental cleaning! This 7-year-old Shih Tzu came in for her first dental cleaning, as well as the removal of two skin tags. Along with the cleaning she ended up needed 12 tooth extractions. In the video you can see how some of her teeth were rotated due to overcrowding, which is unfortunately pretty common with small dog breeds. You can also see her dental x-rays showing bone loss, which often causes teeth to become loose or eventually fall out. Fortunately this pup still has her most "important" teeth intact, and will be able to continue with her regular diet once her mouth has healed up. 🐾 #lowcostpetvet #veterinarycare #dogdental #irvingtx
