“Getting my teeth all clean at Low Cost Pet Vet!” Bella is an 8-year-old cat who had some minor tartar buildup that needed cleaning. After doing x-rays, we were able to see that she also had a fractured tooth beneath her gum line. We removed the fractured tooth for her, as well as the 3 surrounding teeth (see photos 5 & 6). Now it’s back home for rest and recovery 🐾

"Getting my eye checked out at Low Cost Pet Vet! My eye has been feeling a bit dry and irritated. The doctor said it results from a chronic issue where I don't produce enough tears, so I'll need to use some eye drops to make it feel better." 🐾

“Today I had my first dental cleaning!”

Bambi is 2.5 years old and right on track with his preventative care. For small dog breeds, we recommend getting their first dental cleaning at 2-3 years of age. Since he’s still young he didn’t need any extractions, just removal of some tartar buildup 🐾

Remember - Even if your pet doesn't get their first vaccines right at 6 weeks, it's never too late to get them caught up! It's better late than never, and we want to make sure that all of your furbabies are protected from the most common diseases 🐶

Staff Feature: Meet Dominique!

“I’ve been working as a technician at Low Cost Pet Vet for about 7 months now. My favorite thing about working here is seeing all the kittens and puppies. At home I have a 4-year-old Boxer named Canelo and a 2-year-old Red Nose Pitbull named Apollo. My current goal is to attend vet school and become a veterinarian. In my free time I love to go to the gym, go to the park with my daughter, and have fun with my friends.”

We saw this sweet furbaby recently for an eye removal surgery. She had been taken in as a stray, when her owner noticed how swollen and red her eye was becoming. We'll see her back in a couple of weeks to check on her progress and remove the sutures. 🐾

Check-up day! This furbaby came to see us due to some congestion, irritated ears, and a bit of feline acne on his chin. He went home with medication to clear everything up, and should be feeling better soon! 🐾
