We’ve worked all year. Carefully managed our herd. Followed BQA principles. No vacation, just days off of our two full-time jobs to stay home and work the cattle in the heat and the cold. That’s what we’re doing again today, on Labor Day. Just dropped off a load of yearlings from the weaning pen back to the pasture and found our first fall calf! I HATE BUZZARDS!!! Not the way I wanted to find it. Buzzards 1, first fall baby 0. Perfectly formed. No apparent calving issues. Mama lowing from the side. Must of been 50 of those evil birds😢
