Please keep your pets indoors on days like we had yesterday. I saw many cases of heat related illness on emergency this weekend.

Remember, dogs can’t sweat, and their ability to control body temperature with panting is very inefficient with high heat and humidity.
Heat stroke comes fast for our pets, and they can be put in great danger.

Even if they are out swimming or on a boat with family, especially in the mid-day sun, they can get sick.

So please keep your pets safe by leaving them home with the air conditioning or a fan on them. Then take them out when it cools down.
That will keep your awesome furry family member happy and healthy!

Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT’s) are a crucial part of any veterinary hospital. They are the bridge between the client/patient and the doctor. Because they can perform many of the day-to-day duties of the doctor, it allows veterinarians to do so much more for their patients. We could not function to our level of excellence without our LVT’s!
