It looks like Augie is feeling the Christmas spirit. Augie was an abandoned adult cat that was left behind in an apt complex in North Charleston 2 yrs ago, someone in the complex started feeding him & so each day he'd wait in her parking space for her to come home, she knew how sweet he was & didn't belong on the streets. She brought him to KitCats where I immediately loved this boy, I named him Marmalade. After awhile a man adopted him but after a month realized there wasn't to be a connection, I went to do a home visit & could tell he was sad so I took him back. He was so happy to be back with us ladies @ KitCats. A short time later he was adopted again, this time to a very nice lady who appreciated this sweet soul. We wish you a Merry Christmas Augie & it makes me so happy to see you happy & loved, you deserve every bit of it❤️

UPDATE we're almost there with $129.50 still needed..🐈‍⬛🐈Please help our newest kitten that we took under our wing 2weeks ago, all the way from St George SC. 'Yuni' was found alone in an office building parking lot by an office staff. She was in poor condition, cold & wet, her eye bulging & other eye infected. The woman couldn't find help in her area for the kitten, but the universe aligned her with FCH. 'Yuni' will need Enucleation surgery on her right eye in 2 weeks, thankfully she has vision restored in her left eye, now that we've had the infection treated. This condition was caused by feline herpes virus, a very common virus in kittens with weak immune systems left untreated it can cause an eye to rupture. 'Yuni' is full of life & energy she loves to run & play and is another one of our warriors to have beat the odds when we've been able to provide their care, thanks to donations from caring people like you. On GivingTuesday we're asking for donations to cover the balance of her medical costs..Baxter's Bed and Biscuit has pledged thru their November fundraiser for us, Thank you Erika😻 Now we need our FB friends support too, for the balance of $865 so we can proceed with the surgery. Venmo (Feral Cat Helpers KitCats code is 9639) or via personal check to FCH PO Box 24 IOP 29451 or thru the website. Saving one cat may not make a difference in the world but it will make a world of difference to that one cat.. Thank you all & may your holiday season be bright.🎄🐈‍⬛🐈 FeralCatHelpers.com

I stopped to visit one of the 3 colonies we've been trapping at since Aug 2024 in North Charleston, all located on 3 adjacent hotel properties. These guys have a few makeshift shelters with straw which we setup before the cold snap. To-date over 30 of these cats have now gone thru the TVAR program with CAS, some kittens we kept & adopted out the rest went to CAS for adoption. We have a couple more teens to trap in the next couple of weeks, so nice to see so many tipped ears🐈🐈‍⬛ Thank you CAS for helping us help them😻

Nola also has 2 very sweet 8 month old, look alike daughters. Coco & Chanel..these girls have been with us since they were 3 weeks old, over looked because they're black cats, the 2 sismese siblings were adopted right away. Both of them are true lap cats, seeking human attention🐈‍⬛

For those of you who may be looking for a kitty that's a little bit older. I present to you Nola. Nola can be found at Feral Cat Helpers. As someone who also has black kitties, I can assure you that they are so much fun.

Congratulations to Alphie who was adopted today..Alphie is a sweet orange boy..have a long happy, healthy life, sweets😻

Our Story

We are a 501 c-3 non-profit cat rescue organization located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Our program TVAR (Trap, Vaccinate, Alter + Return) is set up for the feral and stray cats in our community East of the Cooper..founded in 2016 we’ve TVAR’d over 300 un-neutered/spayed cats, thus reducing the number of litters being born to free roaming cats. In addition to our TVAR program, we have dedicated caretakers for our various cat colonies in Mt. Pleasant. They provivde daily feedings and homemade outdoor shelters to keep the cats out of the elements. Managing these cat colonies gives our community cats better and longer lives. Currently FCH cares for 50+ outdoor colony cats on a daily basis. We also provide cat food to local seniors on limited incomes so that they can continue to feed the community cats in their neighborhood. Feral Cat Helpers joined Petsmart as an Adoption Partner in May of 2018, todate we’ve adopted out over 120 cats + kittens. 30+ of those cats were deemed un-adoptable by the local Animal Society. We proved them wrong and all of those cats are living healthy lives as indoor cats with their new families. Finding good homes for all cats no matter their age, color or quirks is important to us. From ‘Hopeless to a Home’ is our belief. We are an adovocate for helping to re-home cats of all ages for cat owners who are unable to keep their pet for unforseen reasons.
