The boys of the chocolate litter have stolen my heart π
We are really enjoying the holiday babies πβοΈπ
These guys are getting so big. I am pretty sure three are bucks and three are does. I was really hoping the solid chocolate was a doe, but looks like a buck. Oh well. They are so cute anyway π First time trying out oats too.
Little chestnut bean. Eyes are opening π
Poppy's 6 little nuggets that were born last night. Really excited to watch this chocolate litter grow π€π€π€

As many of you don't know, I have had a lot of loses the past year. I don't share much of the negativity because I like to look on the positive side of things, but to those who think raising rabbits (or any animal for that matter) is easy, it's not. I lost majority of my original herd last summer due to old age. I lost an entire litter over the winter because the mom could not produce enough milk. The current older litter I have lost their mom (my beautiful Chestnuts). I have had more losses and it was in these moments I questioned "what happens when our best is not good enough?"
Baby rabbits duying in your arms is heartbreaking and when there is nothing you can do, it hurts even more.
I am so thankful for my family and the rabbit community I have gotten to be apart of (virtually and physically) for encouraging me and sharing the same struggles. I am not going to list all the people I am so thankful for because there would be too many. But, if you have ever sent me a dm, pm, chatted with me, I want to say thank you so much. I want you to know I am so grateful for every communication and it means so much to me!
π€©π€©π€© 4 out of 5 know how to drink from a bowl. Bottle feeding is always hard and usually fails more than it succeeds. In my lowest moments I have even considered dropping the hobby. But it is these little milestones that give me hope and fuel for the hobby I love so much.
Life be like that sometimesππ
English lop kits in the barn once again. Mama did a fantastic job. π
Anytime now π Waiting is always the hardest part!
