RIP my sweet Petunia. She was the first rabbit I ever owned and the one who started me on this fun and crazy hobby. I honestly knew her time was near. She was so old, (11 or 12 years) but had a hop in her step to the very end. My dad always said she was like a little dancing queen. So, goodbye for now, my friend and dance amongst the stars. 🌟🌟

Baby update: these two have been really fun to watch. Pretty sure the first one is a Harlequin, but still puzzled by the second. I'm thinking either chocolate Harlequin or chocolate-Tri as the underbelly is white. I haven't raised either so all new experiences for me 😄

We welcomed our first litter of 2024 over the weekend. Black Doe × Chocolate Buck. The color of these babies has me intrigued. I believe two out of six are either Magpies or Harlequins which I was not expecting to throw nor have I thrown them before. It's going to be fun watching these guys grow.

We had such a blast at the show this weekend. Got some comments on the juniors, table wrote both shows, and helped a 4-Her pick out her first Rhinelander. Overall one of the best shows I have been to.

I am loving E4E's Golden Cypress. Ignoring the fact this guy wanted to pose diagonally on the carpet square, I absolutely love him. It's been my goal to produce litters with more depth and longer ears, and can I just say he has ears for days! 23.5 by 5 is surley something. While I will be letting him grow out, he does have a few siblings looking for new barns.

I may be downsizing and redoing my rabbitry setup. I don't have a huge space and I would like more ventilation. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on setups they like. I currently have stackers in a shed, and I would love to get rid of the shed for better airflow but still have some sort of structure to keep my rabbits protected from the weather.

Ears 4 Everyone's Magic Shell.

Boy is he massive!! Bigger than both of his parents which I am grateful for. He definitely has the bone. I wish he had more depth and definitely longer ears though, but I will take what I can get. The doe I plan on pairing him with has ears and shoulders to balance him out. I also can't wait till he finishes his molt. He's definitely a mama's boy ☺️🤎

Ears 4 Everyone's Snickerdoodle had a litter of 10. We are down to 8 but that's not unusual. They are slightly on the smaller side but so far they look full. 🤞 looks like mostly blues and blacks 😍 it's been a while since I have had a nice black.

This week I was reminded how hard it is to raise animals and how anything can happen.

This is what a paralyzed rabbit could look like. I can't believe it was just a week ago we took this healthy girl to a show. A couple days later I noticed she was siting like this and not eating. We did what we could and nothing seemed to help. I believe she broke something in her back which caused the paralysis. Probably a freak accident but needless to say I am still so sad we couldn't do more for her. 😭

Sometimes It feels like when I take a step forward, I then two steps back. I have even considered quitting in general. But that being said, I am so thankful for my rabbit community friends for supporting me and giving me advice. I am also so thankful for my mom who has supported me all the way through and has never stopped encouraging me. I am looking forward to this journey despite the challenges.

We had another great show on Saturday. Happy to announce the doe we picked up from convention from 24 Karat Rabbitry Won BOV and BOB for show A and BOSV for show B. One more leg and we will be granding her. Congrats Cloaked Rabbit Habit Rabbitry for wining BOSB for show A and Belle's Bunnies for winning BOSB for show B.

So we have some big news; we are getting into otters!!! I brought this guy home from convention in November and boy he is such a beefcake. We should have a litter of carriers born at the end of the month 🤗

These guys are getting so big. I am pretty sure three are bucks and three are does. I was really hoping the solid chocolate was a doe, but looks like a buck. Oh well. They are so cute anyway 😍 First time trying out oats too.
