We would like to thank a good samaritan for removing this little duck from the road after he and his family were hit by a car earlier this morning. We affectionately named him Jersey Mike as the good samaritan was able to contain him in a Jersey Mike’s Subs box when they brought him in. He had several concerning injuries but we were hopeful he would pull through. Unfortunately he crossed the rainbow bridge to be with his brothers and sisters this afternoon. Rest in peace Jersey Mike, you were greatly loved in your brief time in this world.

We our reaching out to our community to help support our clinic family. One of our amazing staff members lost their husband unexpectedly this past weekend. We will be running a “clipping claws for a cause” fundraiser on Saturday November 18th from 8 am to 2 pm to raise money to help support her during this difficult time. The Humane Society for Tacoma is in much need of foster homes and supplies!

In the last month alone, we’ve seen over 250 kittens come into our shelter, and we are running out of much needed supplies, space, and foster homes to care for these little lives! Can we count on you to help them?
