We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved original barn cat, Bob (Robert, Bobby, Bobbert). Bob and his sister Bindi came to us in our first month of operating and became rodent patrol (Bob less so). Bob had some health issues early on, and went with one of our clients for some lighter duty when they completed building their own barn to retire their horse to. Bob made his way back to our property to live out his days with our tenant, who doted on him and Bob got to experience all the things we think cats dream of; car rides, exploring other barns, being a saint to her niece, all the comfy spots, and his very own personalized auto feeder that would call his name. Bob loved “his” dogs, specifically black ones and was lucky to be adored by 3 in his lifetime; Bane, Dozer, and Appa. We find solace in knowing he’s been reunited with Dozer, enjoying his snuggle time, while waiting for us.

Our owners are retiring! Our facility is fully leased out to Glory Days Equestrian (www.glorydaysequestrian.com) and solely under their management and program effective November 1st. Due to the Governor’s order we currently will only be allowing horse owners on the property to drop off supplies and exercise their horse(s) ONLY if they do not receive turnout. All lessons, training and tours have been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later time.

We are pleased to announce the addition of the Glory Days Equestrian training and lessons program (and the beautiful Archon) to our facility! Their trainer, Anna, fits in seamlessly and her program is one we can stand behind! Anna currently has limited openings for training and lessons!

Our rodent patrol doesn’t get enough recognition - Bob and Bindi keep pests under control and always quality check any new feed we get in (and supply some good laughs with their antics)!

With a sudden increase in temperature, we like to make sure the horses in our care stay hydrated. One of the ways we do this is by adding an extra (small) mash with their mid day feeding. Our horses love the extra snack and we love knowing our residents are maintaining their hydration and health!

As the snow starts to thaw and we start prepping for the next round of predicted snowfall; we are beyond thankful for our amazing staff who took care of the horses and property while snowed in. Whether it be topping off water buckets every few hours with hot water, feeding lighter and more frequent meals to keep the horses busy, storm proofing the barn, providing weather and road condition updates, drying blankets in our barn laundry, or gladly working horses for boarders when we had no access to the barn - our gratitude is never ending for our magnificent on-site manager!

We are blessed to be able to have gotten through the last two weeks with no harm to our horses and property other than some broken gutters!

A fun for this beautiful Thursday morning! Here is our on-site manager Haley, riding her favorite horse still to this day “Sissy”. This picture was taken in Wenatchee at a reining show in 2003 after Haley begged her mom to drive 3 hours just so she could warm up her favorite horse for 15 minutes.

Haley has been horse crazy her entire life and has been fortunate enough to have ridden some amazing horses and work along side some amazing trainers that have built her into the horse woman she is today. She keeps the horses happy and healthy and the barn in pristine condition! We are so thankful to have you Haley!

And just like that another full day of chores complete for a successful busy day tomorrow! Stalls cleaned and barn aisles swept, horses fed and put to bed, one stall freshly bedded and ready for its new horse coming in tomorrow, hay room cleaned, swept and pallets rearranged for a new load to arrive tomorrow, our remaining hay moved to our holding area so it gets fed before the new hay, and last but not least a freshly drug arena! Good night!
