🎄🐾 Happy Holidays from Ferdinand! 🐾🎄

Don’t let this face fool you—Ferdinand is the ultimate cuddle king and lap cat with cheeks made for scritches! One of his human friends calls him “an overflowing fluffball of love with black and white sprinkles on top!”

When you visit the shelter, make sure to meet this sweet guy AFTER playing with kittens but BEFORE visiting healthy adult cats.

Ferdinand is FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), which just means his immune system needs extra care. He’ll need to go to a home where he can be the star as an only cat or with other FIV+ pals. It doesn’t make him any less lovable—or adoptable!

Stop by the shelter Tuesday-Sunday 12-4:30 (12-6:30 on Thursdays) to meet Ferdinand and his friends!

Brrr, winter is here in full force! ❄️ We’re feeling every bit of the First Day of Winter today! 🥶

As a heads-up, we’ll be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day and closing early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

We are in the final stretch of the BISSELL Pet Foundation Empty the Shelters event! December 17th is the final day of the event! Thanks to Cathy Bissell and her team for making this event possible!!!

Stop by the shelter today or Tuesday, 12-4:30pm to bring a pet home for the Holidays! Adoption fees are lowered to $50 for kittens and dogs (plus applicable licensing fees) and waived for adult cats.

🚨 URGENT: Dry Cat Food Needed! 🚨

Our pet food pantry is running on empty, and last week, we had NO cat food to provide to community members in need. 💔 We don't want that to happen again!

Many of our pantry visitors care for outdoor community cats, who need extra calories to stay warm in the chilly winter months. ❄️🐾 Let’s come together to ensure no cat goes hungry this season!

🎉✨ BIG NEWS: After 278 days at the shelter and overcoming so much—including having her front leg amputated—our sweet, resilient Nala has been ADOPTED!!! 🐾💛

Congratulations to Nala and her new family! We couldn’t be happier for her as she starts her next chapter in a warm and loving home.

🎅🐾 Santy Paws is Coming to Town! 🐾🎅

And this year, he's bringing some paws-itively amazing helpers like 9-year-old Odin! This cat-loving superstar is giving back in the best way—by collecting and recycling cans from homes in the City of Ithaca to raise funds for our shelter cats and kittens!

Odin’s big heart and dedication are inspiring us all, and we’re so grateful to him (and the adults who’ve raised such a generous young man 🥰).
