The purpose of our page is to create a central hub where both lost & found dogs of the FLX region are shared. We offer guidance & education to lost dog owners.

Humane trapping service offered depending on the location. Please message our page to inquire. Skilled in search and recovery to include tracking and humane trapping of lost dogs. Humane trapping offered in Tompkins, Cortland, Cayuga (southern), Seneca, and Schuyler Counties in NY. SKITTISH - Wary of strangers!

These beloved family members escaped from their home last week (12/8) near the 2700 block of Wyncoop Creek near Thayer Rd. Their Dad is devastated and needs his pals back home ASAP! They will not come to strangers and are very timid so it is vital that no one calls out to them, whistles at, follows them on foot or in cars, and not make any forward movement towards them.

PUPDATE: (12/13) HOME SAFE!!!
After 15 days on the run in some pretty harsh weather and traveling many dangerous miles from one end of the City of Ithaca to the other, this sweet girl is safe and home. Our heartfelt thanks go out to the amazing Animal Control Officers of the Tompkins County SPCA and a very special community of tightly knit homeowners that worked hard to assist in the humane trapping of this precious soul. EXTREMELY SKITTISH! Please read entire post!

Please do not approach or engage with this terrified girl in any way. She needs to feel like a ghost which means everyone must ignore her. She is on the move and has been all over the area. There are plans in place to bring her to safety. Please do not search for this dog. If seen, do not follow on foot or in vehicles. Following a lost and frightened dog is similar to a predator stalking their prey and will cause them to run blindly into danger.

Please do not post recent sightings here. Instead, send us a private message and call Animal Control at the number listed if you have seen her. This is for her safety. Thank you!

Do not call out to, whistle at, stare at, or approach and engage with in any way. She will not come to you, instead she will run! We ask that you report sightings only to the Tompkins County Animal Control Officers by texting/calling 607-592-6773 right away.

If you have food out for her but haven't seen her coming to your food, please bring all food inside. If you are feeding her and she's coming to your food, please call/text the number listed. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

This sweet young boy of 7 months went missing from his home in the 6400 block of County Rt 10 near Turnpike Rd since Wed afternoon (12/4). Jack is microchipped and very friendly. He is a beloved family member and his family is very worried about him. If you have found him, seen him, or have any information about him, please call his family right away at 607-346-6378.

STILL MISSING - Locke/Groton, NY

Lost since 11/14 - Please HELP!
Note: The dog hit by a car on Tollgate Rd was not Lucy.

Sweet Lucy managed to escape from her home earlier this month 11/14/24 in the 13000 block of State Rt. 90 located between Powers and Summer Hill - Locke Town Line Rds. Lucy is a beloved family member and as sweet as they come. She is microchipped and her family is devastated without her. Where is my family?

This little cutie patootie wandered out of the woods yesterday (11/23) and into the backyard of a kind homeowner on Hillside Drive near East Main St. She is safe and being cared for by her temporary guardians while they search for her family. Wary of strangers - Please do not call out to her!

Athena went missing early Thurs morning (11/18) from her home in the 5700 block of County Rd 33. She was wearing a pink collar with tags. Athena is not a fan of cats (will chase them) and can be reactive to other dogs. If you see this beloved family member, please call her family right away at 585-201-6867.

This adorable little girl was found running down the middle of NY-414 near Townley Hill Rd on Friday (11/15). Thankfully, a kind passerby got her to safety. She is wearing a tag that says Bella, but the tag does not have any contact information for her owners and a microchip was not detected. She's being cared for by a kind samaritan who really wants to reunite her with her family. Proof of ownership will be required. Do not contact the finder to adopt her!

PUPDATE (11/3): MOLLY IS HOME SAFE!!!
Seneca Falls, NY

Molly escaped during from her home Sat morning (10/26) near the locks on Seneca St and was last seen on Jay Street. Her family was in the middle of moving and in the chaos, she slipped out of the house. She's not used to being outside and will be very nervous and skittish, so please do not call out to her, whistle at, follow on foot or in vehicles or chase. Instead, please call her devastated mom right away.

Where is my family?

This sweet fella was corralled on Melvin Hill Rd near the Newark town line and brought to safety on Sunday (10/20) by a kind samaritan to keep him from being hit by a car. They checked with all the homes in the area but no one knew this happy guy. He's now a guest of the Ontario County Humane Society who needs your help to locate his family. PUPDATE (10/21): HOME SAFE!!!
Ithaca, NY

This 8 month old boy is newly adopted and slipped his collar while out on a walk yesterday (10/19) near the Village Solar apartments on Village Circle Dr near Warren Rd and Oakwood Dr. He is very skittish and now lost in an unfamiliar area, so please do not engage with him in any way. He was wearing the black and brown sweater shown in the photo and is microchipped. If seen, please call his family right away who have been coached in the tried and true methods of luring a panicked dog in flight mode to safety. If you see him in your yard, please put food out and let us or the family know right away!

Where is my family?

This beautiful German Shepherd was found on Chapin Street on Thursday (10/17) without any ID or clues to find his/her family. He/she is now a guest of Beverly Animal Shelter who needs your help to get them home. If you are missing this doggo or have any information, please call the shelter at 315-539-9357.

This handsome boy is new to the area and slipped his collar in the 8700 block of Oak Hill Rd Friday morning (10/18). He's very scared and running from people trying to help him so it is critical that everyone follows the instructions given above. We've shared the tried and true techniques of luring a dog in survival mode with his family, so please just call with sightings and any information.

PUPDATE: (10/13) HOME!!!
Dryden/Freeville, NY

These two beloved family members saw their chance to make a break for it yesterday morning (10/11) but failed to file a flight plan with their Dad. They took off from the 800 block of Midline Rd between Ringwood and Yellow Barn Rds. Daisy and Tim are Border Collie/Lab mixes who were both wearing collars and Seresto collars and are very friendly. Daisy can be a little standoffish at times so it's best not to call out to them or chase them.

This handsome lad broke out of his fenced in yard on Friday (10/11) in the 9600 block of Fleet Rd. If you have seen him at any time, please call the numbers at the top of this post and do not attempt to catch him or make any movement towards him as he will run! He was wearing a collar with tags and is microchipped.
