Academy riders Olivia and Chloe took the streamer challenge in lessons today. Communication and teamwork kept the streamer from breaking. Horse help teach such important life lessons 🐴❤️
Wishes do come true! A few months ago, Nancy Becker from UPHA (United Professional Horseman’s Association) asked us to fulfill a special wish of a little girl, Abigail. Nancy is the liaison between UPHA and one of their partners, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Abigail's wish was to take a horseback riding lesson. Through the efforts of Nancy, UPHA, and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, we were lucky enough to welcome Abigail and her parents to Equitate this past weekend.
Within her first few minutes here, Abigail was all smiles from the start and jumped right in like a natural equestrian! Abigail learned about all of the tools used for grooming and especially enjoyed brushing IRS’ tail. IRS is our super Morgan school horse here at Equitate. She soon put on the Equitate Equestrians t-shirt from her gift basket and was official! Her parents even jumped in to help with grooming and couldn’t stop complimenting IRS on his calm demeanor and shiny coat.
From grooming to riding to helping with turn-out, we had the best time with this incredible young lady.
