Fun fact!
Did you know that if a dogs toe nails get too long they can cause mobility issues? Not only that but it can be extremely painful for the dog and even cause infections. If your dog has a hard time with nail clippings start practicing these things with your dog now! Paw stimulation when he/she is in a relaxed position. Gently squeeze each toe and offer a treat or a reward of some kind when they’re calm. Repeat that process often! Take them to a groomer every 4-6 weeks to get them accustomed to that person. If you have any questions feel free to reach out!

Here is a little catch up since I have been MIA:
The month of July has been very eventful for me. My family and I went to Alaska at the first of the month and then I attended a bachelorette for one of my sweet friends last week. As of now, I have only worked 8 days for the month of July! With that being said, I am booked solid until the week of Aug 14th. I still have a few more spots that week and am pretty open towards the end of August.
Looking forward to getting back to work!!🐾

I have some new people on my page, so I figured I needed to reintroduce myself.

My name is Brooklyn Drennan and I am 25 years old. I’m married to my high school sweetheart. We have been together for 9 years. We live in Jacksboro, TX and we have two Irish setters that we absolutely adore! I love to fish and hunt when I’m not working. Being outdoors makes my heart happy. I have 11 nieces and nephews, which is so much fun!! I absolutely love my job! I get to work with dogs all day, which is a literal dream (if you know you know). I love all of my clients and I am filled with so much pride and joy knowing that I have so many people who support me and my business. This job has been a very big blessing for me and I hope to continue serving Jacksboro for years to come! ♥️🐶

This is why brushing your dog is important!! Areas that typically get more friction, like the hind legs, belly, neck, and armpits will get matted if not maintained. My biggest recommendation for dog parents is something called “line brushing”. A slicker brush and a metal comb is the BEST combo. Last recommendation: never wash your dog without combing it afterwards. Scrubbing can cause tangles that can easily turn into mattes. If you’re unable to take these steps to keep the matting from occurring, a short hair cut or a regular appointment with a groomer should be your best bet! The trailer is here!! 🐾 Along with my generator, I am still waiting on a couple other necessities. I am really hoping to be mobile Monday the 30th but will keep you all posted for an official date!
