Please someone come adopt this boy. Connor has waited long enough. He is such an awesome dog. He came to the shelter as a stray and has been patiently waiting for help. Connor is a sweet, gentle, quiet, easy-going, laid-back boy, he listens so well, he tries so hard to show off his skills, he walks beautifully on leash and takes treats gently. He has passed all temperament tests. His only restriction is he needs to be the only pet in the home. That’s it. Connor would be the most loving and faithful companion. you can see it in his eyes, he just wants to be with people. This poor boy doesn’t even know how to play with toys. He’s more interested in being with his person.

Connor needs out of the shelter. We would love to see him in a safe, loving home with someone that will teach him how to be a dog and put some weight on his frail body. Please keep sharing for Connor. This boy deserves so much more than what life has given him.

Connor is available for immediate adoption or to any approved 501(c)3 Rescue that can help him out of the shelter.

Please go meet this guy, you will not be disappointed. Connor is waiting at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility located at 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson, open seven days a week from 1 to 4 PM.

Please share Connor 💙

🐾💖 Meet Clarice – Ready for Her Forever Family! 🏡

This gorgeous, nearly 7-year-old pittie mix is sweet, calm, and has the best manners! Clarice loves attention, adores being petted, and will bring so much joy and love to her future home. With her stunning markings and gentle personality, she’s sure to steal your heart! 😍

Clarice isn’t a fan of cats, but we can test her with any doggie friends you might have. She has a bit of pep in her step, loves her daily walks, and even enjoys her stuffie toys—she handles them with such care! Being a bit older, she truly deserves to find her perfect family soon so she can enjoy all the love she deserves. ❤️

Come meet Clarice at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave, between 1-4pm. She’s patiently waiting to find a family to spoil her with love and pets! 🐶💕

!! RESCUE NEEDED!!

Our beautiful girl Ellie is still in need of rescue. This sweetheart is an approximately 3 1/2 year old Cattle Dog surrendered to the shelter and in need of immediate help from a 501(c)3 Rescue.

Ellie is a beautiful girl who takes a little bit to warm up, but once she knows you, she is a happy, playful girl who just wants to be with you. She enjoys her hikes through the trails, loves to play, has passed all temperament tests, walks nicely and takes treats gently. She is afraid of kitties and would probably be best as the only dog and no children.

Ellie needs help from a Rescue who can place her into the right home preferably with breed experience.

If there is any 501(c) 3 Rescue that can help this sweetheart out of the shelter please email [email protected] as soon as possible.

Please keep sharing our girl Ellie, she needs help now!! 🩷

!! RESCUES NEEDED !!

It doesn’t seem to matter how many dogs we get out to rescue, the list never gets any smaller. Here are just some of the dogs in need of Rescue. We have been reaching out but sadly they still wait for help.

We are looking for help from any approved 501(c)3 Rescue, that can take one of these pups into their rescue.

The first pup (top left) is BamBam, approximately 6 years old lab/pit mix who came to the shelter under very unfortunate circumstances. He is a very nice boy, but seems a little nervous and unsure in the shelter. He enjoys his walks and keeps his nose to the ground enjoying all the sites and smells on his daily walks. He is dog friendly, but a little afraid of the kitties. Unfortunately, he does not like to share his food and that is the only reason he is in need of Rescue help.

On the bottom left is our very, very handsome boy Ghost who is an approximately 2 year old Dogo Argentino. This is his second time in the shelter. He is an awesome dog, he is happy, playful, affectionate, loves everyone, is extremely intelligent, eager to learn, listens well, and passed all temperament tests. He does need to be the only pet in the home. We have an amazing Rescue, Pitties And Pals Rescue that would love to help this boy out of the shelter, but they are in need of a foster. They cover all expenses and assist you every step of the way. This boy is really a treasure.

On the top right we have our girl Chyna, an approximately 4 year-old pointer/terrier mix. This girl is another sweetheart who came in to the shelter needing a little TLC. She has been receiving regular medicated baths and is now looking absolutely gorgeous. She does need to be the only pet in the home and she too did not like sharing her food so she needs help out of the Shelter from a 501 C3 Rescue.

The pup in middle right hand side is our beautiful Ellie, a 3 year old Cattle Dog. Ellie came to the shelter, frightened, confused and unsure, but has settled in and has warmed up to everyone she meets. She is a very fun, playful girl who enjoys her hikes, loves to play ball and loves to eat (maybe a little too much)! She does need to lose a few pounds. Ellie passed all of her temperament tests, has no resource guarding, but she does need to be the only pet and no children.

And finally on the bottom right Roslyn. Poor Roslyn has been waiting so long and we can’t seem to find a rescue to help her. She is an approximately 4 year old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to the shelter as a stray. She is a great girl, very energetic and active, loves to run and play. Unfortunately Roslyn also did not like to share her food. She also should be the only pet although not reactive to other dogs she would do better as the only pet in the home.

All five of these dogs need help now from a 501(c)3 Rescue. We are very aware that Rescues are all overflowing with dogs in need, but we are hoping that help is out there for these wonderful dogs

If any Rescue can help or if you are interested in fostering, please email [email protected].

Please keep sharing for all of our dogs!

November is Adopt a Senior Shelter Dog month and we are hoping that someone special will open up their heart and their home to this beautiful older girl.

Olympia is between eight and nine years old and has been patiently waiting for a forever home for a while now. When she arrived at the shelter, she needed a little extra tender loving care. We gave her many soothing medicated baths, and she is looking absolutely stunning. This special lady walks so nicely on leash, passed all temperament tests, absolutely loves everyone that she meets, is always wagging that tail so happy to be right by your side. Olympia is also very dog friendly. We do not understand why she keeps getting overlooked. She has had a few meets and everyone loves her, but no one comes back for her and we don’t get it. We are thinking her special person just hasn’t found her yet.

Senior dogs are always the best. There’s none of the crazy puppy antics, no destructive behavior, no housebreaking, and old dogs are so very grateful for your love.

Please someone give Olympia a chance. She is patiently waiting at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The shelter is open 7 days a week from 1 to 4 PM, but will be closed on Monday November 11th in observance of Veterans Day.

Please share our beautiful Olympia! 🩷

🐾🩵 Meet Icelynn! 🩵🐾

This gorgeous 5-year-old Siberian Husky is looking for her forever family! True to husky style, she greets you with a happy “woo woo woo” when she’s excited to see you!

Icelynn loves her toys and is always up for a good walk. She’s already nailed “sit” and “paw,” and she’s working on “down.” With her love for treats, she’s a quick learner with so much potential!

She did great on her dog test and doesn’t seem to mind cats, but she’d thrive best in an adult-only home. Come meet Icelynn and get ready to fall in love—she’s waiting to meet you at 615 Freemont Ave in Jackson. The shelter is open from 1-4 every day. We are BEYOND packed and have so many wonderful dogs looking for homes.

🐾🩷Adopt Hazel! 🩷🐾

Hazel is a spunky, playful, and energetic 2-year-old pittie mix who is always thrilled to see you! She’s got the basics down and knows “sit” and “down” on cue—when she lays down, she sprawls out like a little frog! Her recall training is coming along nicely, too. Hazel is incredibly sweet, loves looking right into your eyes, and wants nothing more than to please. She’ll thrive with an experienced pet owner who can continue her training and give her the exercise she needs.

This pretty, petite girl prefers to be the only pet in the home and would do best with children over the age of 15. She’s full of life and ready to share her adorable energy with a loving family.

Hazel is located at the Ocean County Animal Facility North, 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson, NJ (off Hope Chapel Rd). All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate shots. We’re open 7 days a week from 1-4pm.

Come meet this sweet girl and see if she’s the perfect fit for your home! 🏡💖

🐾 💙Meet Connor – Still Waiting for His Perfect Match! 💙🐾

Connor is a sweet 3-year-old pup who’s been patiently waiting for his forever family. Found as a stray, his body tells a story of resilience, and we can’t wait to see him finally cozying up in a big, comfy bed. Connor knows basic commands like sit and down, and he’ll even give both paws! One look into his stunning eyes, and you’ll be hooked.

Though he’s constantly overlooked on the adoption floor, we believe he just hasn’t met his match yet. Connor needs to be the only pet in the home, and he’s looking for a special person who understands that not everyone wants to share their space. This boy is ready to thrive with the right companion by his side!

Today, Connor worked on commands and even had a jogging session, and it was amazing to see him loosen up and get little tail wags. He’s treat-motivated, affectionate, and adores human companionship. 🥰 He is also a calm boy that seems to have low energy. Of course this could change in a home too.

Give Connor a chance! Come meet him every day from 1-4 PM at 615 Freemont Ave, Jackson. He’s waiting to make that special connection!
