RESCUE NEEDED!

We are looking for very special help for our senior boy Tommy. This sweet boy is a 12 year old Border Collie mix who is in need of a place to rest.

Tommy has been in and out of the shelter many times over the past several months due to his owners illness. Sadly, his owner has passed away, and he is now in need of help out of the shelter.

Tommy has lots of lumps and bumps and possible kidney issues so we are looking for a Rescue to help him find a loving home. Tommy has passed all of his assessments and has no resource guarding. He is absolutely a love, not only adores everyone he meets but adores all of the soft squeaky toys he can find. He is housebroken, walks fairly well on leash and would love to have a nice quiet home where he can be your one and only pet. Tommy deserves that, he’s had a very rough past recently, and he deserves all the love and attention now.

We are looking for help from a 501(c)3 Rescue for our boy Tommy. If you can help this sweet senior, please email [email protected].

Please share Tommy. Seniors never belong in shelters. 💔

Pretty little P***y is available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c)3 that can help her out of the shelter.

P***y is a little over a year old and came to the shelter as a stray. We are not sure what breed she is. She has a little bit of a hound look to her, on the smaller side and has the most beautiful brown eyes. P***y has passed all of her assessments, has no resource guarding; however, we have found that P***y does need to be the only dog in the home.

This little girl absolutely loves being out of her kennel to hike through the trails and especially to run, play and stretch her legs. She also enjoys hanging out with people. P***y just wants somebody to love.

P***y is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, heartworm negative microchipped and she is all ready to go. She has been waiting for quite a while, but we know her people are out there.

Please share for p***y and all of her friends located at the North Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The Shelter is open seven days a week from 1 to 4 PM.

🩷 P***y 💜

Our next beautiful girl available for adoption is Rayna!

Rayna came to the shelter as an owner surrender along with her housemates. She is an approximately two year old pittie mix who has passed all of her assessments and even though she did live with other dogs, she does prefer to be your one and only.

Rayna is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. She is a little strong on leash and could use some help with her manners, but we have found her to be a very happy, sweet, playful, energetic little lady who wants to put her past behind her and find the true loving forever home of her dreams.

Rayna is available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c)3 Rescue that can help her. Please visit Rayna and her friends at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility located at 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The Shelter is open 7 days a week from 1 to 4 PM.

Please share for our girl Rayna 🩷

Another amazing little lady to brighten your day, Saphie (Sapphire)!

Saphie sadly was a recent surrender, again through no fault of her own. She is approximately 2 1/2 years old, a very sweet pity mix who has passed all of her assessments, walks well on leash, loves to play, run and stretch her legs. She does prefer to be the only dog in the home; however, she doesn’t react to other dogs. Saphie just wants to be your one and only and would probably do best with older children because she does need a little help with her manners. Saphie can get excited at times and likes to jump up and hug, which may be too much for young children.

Saphie is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. She’s really a sweetheart of a girl, but sadly another black dog that people overlook.

Please come meet this great girl. She is available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c)3 that can help her. Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The shelter is open every day from 1 to 4 PM.

Please share Saphie 💜

Beautiful low rider Hazel is really hoping for a forever home for Easter!

Hazel is approximately 3 years old now, having spent several months waiting in the shelter. She is a dynamite little girl, spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, passed all assessments, loves everyone she meets. BUT, Hazel must be the only pet in the home and older children would be best for her energy level.

She really is a sweet little girl with lots of playful energy but after playtime, she curls up right on her bed for her nap. She would make a wonderful companion for an active family.

Hazel is one of our longest residents and is patiently waiting for a forever home. She is available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c)3 Rescue that can help her.

Please come meet Hazel and her friends at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Avenue, in Jackson, open 7 days a weeks from 1 to 4 pm

And who is this handsome guy you ask? Dexter of course!!!

Just look at him, what an adorable boy he is. He is a volunteer favorite for sure! We just love this guy. Dexter is between five and six years old, pity mix who has passed all of his assessments, is dog friendly and doesn’t seem to mind the kitties.

Dexter is anxious in his kennel. He has been waiting so long and he is so excited when anybody comes to look at him, but please don’t let the fact that he is overly excited discourage you. Please ask to meet this boy, as soon as he knows it’s time to go out of his kennel, he grabs his favorite toy and trots right out. He walks beautifully on leash, plays nicely, absolutely loves to be with people as a matter of fact, he fancies himself a lap dog! Poor Dexter is so misunderstood because he is anxious in the kennel, but he is such a great great boy.

Someone please give this boy a chance. Dexter is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and he is not so patiently waiting for a forever home.
Dexter would do best with older children just because of his size.

Dexter is available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c) 3 Rescue that can help him. We do have a wonderful rescue standing by waiting to help this boy out of the shelter, but they need a foster. If you are looking for a sweet loving companion, friendly, easy to handle, amazing boy, please check out Dexter!

He is located at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The Shelter is open 7 days a week from 1 to 4 PM. If interested in fostering our guy, please reach out to our friends at Pitties And Pals Rescue NJ.

Please share Dex! 💙

It may be a damp dreary day, but this sweetheart brightens our day! This is Sophie, an approximately 1 year old lab/golden/hound mix and she would love to come home and brighten your day too. She is an adorable little lady who was recently surrendered to the shelter. Sophie did live with dogs and cats; however, according to her previous owner, they did not get along well, so we are recommending a home with no other pets. She wants to be your one and only princess!

Although Sophie really enjoys her time out of her kennel with the staff and volunteers, she is a little nervous and overwhelmed in the shelter. We think she would be a wonderful companion and a wonderful addition to almost any family where she can receive lots of love and attention. We would love to see her back in a truly loving home as soon as possible.

Sophie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. She has passed all assessments and she is ready to go home.

Sophie is available for immediate adoption or any 501(c)3 that can help. She is located at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Avenue in Jackson. The Shelter is open 7 days a week from 1 to 4 PM.

Please come meet this sweet girl!

And where are our big dog people??
Jefe is an amazing 4 year old Shepherd mix recently surrendered to the shelter through absolutely no fault of his own.

Jefe is a terrific boy who is not only stunningly handsome, but a really great dog. He has passed all assessments, no resource guarding, absolutely loves everyone he meets and his favorite thing to do is give hugs but he does need to be the only dog in the home. Older children would be best due to his size.

Jefe is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and all ready to go. Please go meet this big guy. You will love him.

Meet Toby!!! Another new guy on the adoption floor.

This little boy is an approximately 4 year old Terrier. He is adorable but can be nervous meeting new people. He has passed all of his assessments and is both dog and cat friendly! The Shelter is recommending children over the age of 7 because he is timid and would probably do best in a calm household.

Toby is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped. He would make a great little companion.

Toby is available for immediate adoption at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Avenue in Jackson. The shelter is open every day from 1 to 4 pm.

Please share our little boy Toby 💙

Another newbie on the adoption floor, this is Elvis!

This very handsome pittie mix came to the shelter as a stray. Elvis is estimated to be a little over a year old, passed all assessments, dog friendly but not a fan of the kitties and would do best with older children because he is young and in need of some additional training.

Elvis gets very excited when he sees people and would do best with an experienced family who can work on his manners. He is a very happy, playful, fun loving boy! Elvis is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and all ready to go.

Elvis is available for immediate adoption or to any 501(c)3 that can help him out of the shelter. He is waiting for you at the Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Ave. in Jackson. The Shelter is open seven days a week from 1 to 4 PM.

Please share our boy Elvis 💙

Dexter (on the left) and Matilda (on the right) are both very special pups who are each hoping for their chance at a forever home.

Dexter is a six year old pit mix who came in as an owner surrender. A great boy who passed all assessments, is dog friendly and didn’t mind the kitties. Dexter is not handling kennel life well, showing some signs of stress, circling in his kennel. When it’s time for his walk, we see a completely different boy. He grabs his favorite toy and he is ready to go. He is so happy to be out and be with people, to casually walk through the trails, to run and play but mostly to get lots of pets and love.
This boy would make a wonderful companion for just about any family. Older children would probably be best because of his size, but he is a wonderful dog who just wants to be with people.

Our girl Matilda sadly came to the shelter as a stray. She is estimated to be about 2 years old. Matilda is very nervous in the shelter, even afraid of toys. It is heartbreaking to see this little girl so confused and shut down. We do see another side to Matilda, a girl who wants to be brave, a girl who now gets excited when it’s time to go for walks and loves to get pets and belly rubs. She even seems to enjoy the company of other calm dogs, but was afraid of the kitties. Matilda needs a calm, loving home family to build her confidence again.

Both Dexter and Matilda are looking for a 501(c)3 Rescue or experienced adopters to help them out of the shelter.

These wonderful dogs are waiting. If your Rescue can help Dexter or Matilda, please email [email protected].

Northern Ocean County Animal Facility, 615 Freemont Avenue, Jackson. The shelter is open 7 days a week from 1 to 4 pm.

Please share for Dexter and Matilda.
