Jackson County Animal Protection Society Our mission is to protect and prevent cruelty and neglect of animals & find them loving homes.

JCAPS is a 501c3 charitable organization founded by volunteer community members with the goals of establishing an animal shelter facility for Jackson County. We are currently foster based and only able to rescue a limited quantity of animals at a time. In August of 2021, our board members opened a small pet supply shop called "A Pet's Tale" located at 313 2nd Street, Jackson, MN. This was established as a means of fundraising for a shelter building.

Congratulations to Domino for charming his way into the hearts of these Kind Closet shoppers last week. They decided they couldn’t go another day without him in their lives. He will have a new brother to get to know at their house too. We wish them the best of luck with their lives together for many years to come! 🥰

Great news to share! Jack is on his way home with his new parents! He was so happy to meet them it seemed like they were already a family at first site. After spending about 30 minutes hanging out at the dog park together, he jumped right in the car & was ready to go. We wish them all the best of luck & much happiness! 🥰
