The roads are slick this morning causing school cancellations. We are hoping the roads will be better by noon, because we will be OPEN. Today is the perfect day for some furry cuddles on the couch.

We want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to some of our amazing donors who help make a difference in the lives of our furry friends!

First, a big shoutout to Smarch Chiropractic for hosting a giving event for us! Due to their clients kindness, they donated FOUR totes overflowing with food, toys, and goodies for our pets! Your generosity will bring so much joy to the animals in our care.

Thank you to Hollywood Feed for not only hosting our adoption and giving events, but for your generous donations of food, toys, and more! Your support helps us continue to care for our pets and find them loving homes.

Position: Animal Adoption Counselor
Location: Cascades Humane Society
Hours: Part-Time (weekends and evenings may be required)

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist prospective adopters in selecting the right animal for their lifestyle and preferences.
- Provide expert guidance on pet care, behavior, and adoption processes.
- Maintain detailed adoption records.
- Support the overall mission of Cascades Humane Society by promoting responsible pet ownership.

- Previous experience in animal care and customer service.

Position: Animal Care Associate
Location: Jackson, MI
Department: Animal Care

Are you passionate about animals and looking to make a difference in your community? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Associate to join our team!

Responsibilities:
Provide daily care, feeding, and cleaning for animals in our shelter.
Monitor and report the health and behavior of animals to veterinary and shelter staff.
Maintain a clean, safe, and humane environment for all animals in our care.
Support the shelter’s mission to promote the welfare of animals through compassionate care and community engagement.

Qualifications:
Strong love and empathy for animals.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Prior animal care experience.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks like cleaning and walking animals.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
