Its been some time since we've posted, but Matt and I made the decision during 2020 that we are no longer breeding. If any previous customers need referrals, we have several wonderful breeder friends we can recommend, but we will no longer be having kittens or showing.

Unfortunately due to recent events, we will no longer be holding kittens without deposits. There have been too many people lately pulling out last minute. While we understand situations may change, it is extremely difficult to sell kittens that are older than four to five months, and holding them without a deposit puts us at risk of not being able to cover the cost of all that goes into raising them. We price fairly-lower than most- and invest in regular HCM scanning, Optimal Selection kits on all cats, early spay and neuter and hold until 16 weeks as it is.

This has happened three times in our last two litters, and we've unfortunately reached a point where we have to make a policy change. We hope you understand.

While I don't normally address cattery reviews, I will make an exception this time, only because the reviewer is not angry at us and has, in fact, never purchased or discussed purchasing from us. We registered with TICA in 2014 as HighCaliber Bengals and we have always been owned by Sirena and Matt Luczak. Most of our cats are registered in my maiden name as we were not yet married when we started our program.

Today, another breeder we have worked with extensively, and with whom we have NEVER had anything other than wonderful experiences is being accused of not delivering a kitten. Because I have purchased cats from her, and because of one instance in which TICA treated a litter as us leasing a female due to a mistake on sending in the transfer, another breeder who is known for disreputable behavior and who has multiple protests against him has taken it upon himself to convince the alleged victim that we are not who we say we are.

We have always been HighCaliber Bengals. We always will be. And it will always be run by Sirena and Matt. No one else has any control over our program nor sells cats for us. Any suggestion to the contrary is simply just not true. There are MANY breeders, some of whom I'm sure will comment here who will verify showing with Matt and I.

Due to some upcoming medical expenses, we are offering a discount on currently available kittens. This applies to kittens ready to go now and in the next few weeks. We will still be VERY particular about the homes these babies go to. They are still from health tested parents (screened for PK def, PRA-B and HCM) and TICA registered. We're in the unfortunate position of experiencing a buyer scam. We sold a kitten to Dianne and Jim Kukic of Pittsburgh PA today. We drove three hours to meet them as Dianne told us she had recently had knee replacement surgery. They spent more than an hour meeting the kitten and decided to complete the purchase. Within four hours, they have requested a full refund on PayPal alleging the kitten was "not as described". When I called her, she said she doesn't like the tarnish on his muzzle and wants a refund AND to keep the kitten. So now we get to spend our evening maneuvering this mess. For all our breeder colleagues, please avoid this couple.

All currently available kittens are now reserved. We have one brown spotted female who will be spayed in two weeks and available in four weeks. We also have a litter that is coming up shortly. I'll be announcing what is available in about 2-3 weeks with go home dates in about 6-7 weeks. We have two females pregnant right now and will be expecting brown, mink and silver.
