Have you heard of Librela? It is the first and only monthly injection to help with canine OA pain control! Check out some reviews from recent patients!
"George has had no problems with the Librela. He doesn't seem to mind the injection itself. He no longer limps and now runs like a young dog should. The medicine lasts at least thirty days, but I haven't tried to go longer than that." -George, 2yo GSD
"We are very happy we ran across Librela, Bailey is a 13 year old Maltese with severe arthritis in his back joints. We have used Librela for five months now and it is amazing to see him go up and down steps, roll in the grass and just a happy boy once again."
"The Librela has truly been life changing for our old girl! Nellie has spent the last year or so moving around very little day to day. She pretty much spent her days sleeping or laying in the sun. Since receiving the Librela she is back to playing with the kids and following around her younger fur brother again. Nellie does great with the injection and doesn't even seem to notice when she receives it. She is given the shot every 30 days by choice. I think there is a chance we could extend the time between the shots a little more, but we like to stay ahead of the shot wearing off so she doesn't stiffen up or get achy. The Librela injection has truly extended our time with our sweet Nellie the Newf! ❤️🐾" -Nellie, 11yo Newfoundland
" I've seen no ill effects or reactions to using Librela. We started noticing an improvement in Bentley within the first couple of weeks, however it did take two doses for sustained improvement. Bentley's energy, motivation and movement greatly improved, reminding us of who he was two years ago! Before the shots, Bentley was struggling to get up, stand at his food bowl, climb stairs, and play. The shots last anywhere from 4-6 weeks before Bentley begins to decline in movement. The process is simple: schedule a shot, show up and you are done!" -Bentley, 10.5 yo Lab

In Loving Memory of Judith Gayle Hart Nelson
With heavy hearts, we remember Judy—my beloved sister whose life was a beacon of kindness, hard work, and grace. Judy was a truly exceptional person: intelligent, beautiful, and unwaveringly dedicated in everything she pursued.
Growing up on a dairy farm, Judy learned the value of hard work from our dad. She mastered numerous farming skills, capable of operating and repairing any piece of equipment. Her work ethic was unparalleled; she could outwork anyone, embodying a rare blend of skill, strength, and determination that inspired all who worked with her.
Judy's passions extended far beyond the farm. She had a deep love for riding horses and excelled in track, where she proudly set a state record. Gardening, cheerleading, and socializing with friends were also key aspects of her vibrant life, reflecting her zest for living and her ability to bring joy to those around her.
Her greatest pride and joy was her son, Hugh. Judy’s love for him was boundless, and he was the centerpiece of her life, a testament to her greatest success.
In her professional life, Judy and Toby ran a successful industrial and welding supply business, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication. Later, she and her late husband, Don—affectionately known as “Oozie”—made their home on a sod farm. Judy found immense joy in hosting family and friends at the farm. The children especially enjoyed their time there, riding horses, playing in the river, and participating in various activities that brought smiles and laughter.
Judy’s fun-loving nature and sense of humor were integral parts of her personality. As a teenager, she was known for her playful antics, often sneaking out our bedroom window after our parents thought she was asleep. Meeting her friends at the end of the driveway, she would head off to drag main, creating cherished memories of youthful adventure. There were also memorable shenanigans involving Toby, always filled with fun and, rest assured, legal mischief that brought joy to everyone involved.
Even as Parkinson’s Disease posed challenges later in her life, Judy faced it with the same strength and grace that marked her entire journey. Her warmth, humor, and kindness continued to touch those around her, leaving a legacy of love and inspiration.
As we honor Judy’s memory, we celebrate a life lived with extraordinary joy, resilience, and generosity. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever inspire us, and her memory will remain a cherished part of our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Judy. Your legacy of kindness, hard work, and love will always be remembered and celebrated. I love you.

Mt Zion Animal Clinic and Boarding (AAHA accredited since 2015)
Mt. Zion Animal Clinic & Boarding has achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence following a thorough evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Mt. Zion Animal Clinic & Boarding earned AAHA accreditation after a rigorous review of the hospital’s practice protocols, medical equipment, facility and client service.
Unlike human hospitals, not all animal hospitals are required to be accredited.
Accredited hospitals are the only hospitals that choose to be evaluated on approximately 900 quality standards that go above and beyond basic state regulations, ranging from patient care and pain management to staff training and advanced diagnostic services. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. AAHA standards are continuously reviewed and updated to keep accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence.
Pet owners look for AAHA-accredited hospitals because they value their pet’s health and trust the consistent, expert care provided by the entire health care team. At AAHA-accredited practices, pet owners can expect to receive the highest quality care from well-trained, professional veterinary teams.
Only the top small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have achieved accreditation by the Association. To maintain accredited status, Mt. Zion Animal Clinic & Boarding must continue to be evaluated regularly by AAHA.
