Well, this took longer than I wanted, but I think I've finally got this figured out đŸ˜…
For my first post I thought it would be only fitting to post about the first isopod species I kept, and coincidentally also the first and only species I've had a culture crash.
These are wild type Armadillidium vulgare. They like a larger dry side to their enclosure, and I try to keep no more than 1/3 of their substrate damp. They absolutely love veggies and quickly devour any I put in, although they readily eat premade isopod foods as well (like Repashy's Morning Wood). These guys are a great option even if you are just starting to keep isopods as long as you remember to not over water them.
