Good luck to all the deer hunters this rifle season! Just a reminder, you can bring us the whole deer! We’ll take care of the gutting, and cape it for no charge. For only 25 we’ll quarter it and dispose of the carcass. You’ll pay far more at a processor.
We only require a 35% deposit! You finish the remaining balance however is convenient for you!

Keep us in mind when you harvest a mature buck that you are not wanting to mount. We will give you credit on euro mounts for a good clean cape! Unlike a meat processor, we DON’T CHARGE to cape your deer.

A rare find, especially this pronounced.
Upper canines are a rare, but documented phenomenon in whitetails, and researchers believe it is an evolutionary throwback to the ancestral form of the whitetail, which occasionally surfaces today. While the exact prevalence of upper canines in whitetails is not known, it is believed to be well below 1%!

Holding a fish properly?? Yeah, it’s a thing!
With the nice weather comes some good fishing trips. Just make sure you hold them correctly so that they’ll survive undamaged after you handle them. Two big ones: 1st, DON’T grab them by the jaw and try to tilt them up over a 10° angle. This puts too much stress on them and you could damage them. 2nd, don’t put your fingers in their gills. This could damage the gills and cause them to bleed out.

There’s nothing wrong with holding a bass or other smooth-toothed fish by the lip. You have more control there than anywhere else. But you should keep that fish mostly vertical if you’re holding with one hand, and support its rear end with the other hand if you want it to rest horizontally. Problems arise when you crank the fish over.

Rustic Cattle - Highland breed

The Highland is a Scottish breed of rustic cattle. It originated in the Scottish Highlands and the Outer Hebrides islands of Scotland and has long horns and a long shaggy coat. It is a hardy breed, able to withstand the intemperate conditions in the region.

The first herd-book dates from 1885.
