You may just find them at the Jackson County (Michigan) Animal Shelter. We have plenty of dogs and cats who have either been brought in as a stray or by a family that can no longer care for them. Feel free to come in during our open hours. If you don't see something on your first visit, our residents change daily and it may take a few times to find that purrfect furry friend.

UPDATE: THANKS TO YOUR TIPS. THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED 🚨COMMUNITY HELP NEEDED 🚨 Animal Control Officers are seeking the driver and passenger of this Dodge 4 door truck. Seen at JCAS at 7:50am this morning. 2 injured and severely emaciated puppies that were thrown over fence and abandoned are pictured in the comments. If you see this vehicle or know the owner of it or the puppies, please call 911.

They’re all looking for furever loving homes. Come and visit us during our open hours. If you don't see your new friend on the first visit, our residents change daily so keep coming back until you find that purr-fect furry friend. You’ll be glad you did!

Want to help? We are always looking for volunteers for a variety of things at the shelter. Volunteer orientations are the second Saturday of each month at 10:00am. Just show up and we’ll show you around!
