Please SHARE! (FOUND DOG)

If you are missing a dog from the Big John Store Rd area of Pleasant Hill NC, please call the Northampton County, NC Animal Shelter at 252-534-1125. It IS NOT a hound. We are not posting pictures for reclaim reasons. This dog was found a few days ago. It is with a citizen who is taking care of it for now. You can also reach us through the Sheriff's Department at 534-2611. No one has called missing this particular dog, so we would like everyone who can to SHARE. Thank you!

This dog was recently picked up as a stray. If this dog looks like yours, you need to call and identify if collar was on dog, or no collar, and s*x of dog. To reclaim, you need to bring proof of residence, id, and something showing the dog. Reclaims are by appointments only. To make an appointment call 252-534-1125 and leave a voicemail. We will call you ASAP. Please share!

We have had 2 stray bulldogs come in recently. We are not posting pictures as if they are yours, you will have to describe. They are definitely from the same home, and easy to identify. They were found around the Scotland Neck boat landing and at the Northampton County line. So could be from either county. If these may be your dogs, please contact 252-534-1125 and leave a message. No one is allowed to come look at dogs unless they have a good description of what their missing dog/dogs look like. You also need to bring proof with pictures, videos, and proof of address, and driver's license or id. All visits to the shelter require appointments. Those, you will get by calling the SHELTER number at 252-534-1125. If anyone shows up without an appointment, we may have to turn you away for another time due to the number of appointments we have daily. So it's best to call ahead. We are in and out of the office, so it may take a few minutes to call back! PLEASE SHARE ❤️

We want to send a huge thank you to Northampton County 4-H club and Mrs. Kimberly Daughtry for coming to visit and bringing no bake treats and handmade toys for the furbabies! And thank you to the parents who allowed their kids to come meet the furbabies! They are loving those treats! I'm looking forward to the visits in the near future! Happy Holidays!

Want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who is donating to our little shelter! We have always accepted donations, as these make it easier and happier for the animals during their stay at the shelter. I do know in these donations, I want Melissa and Laura to know we really appreciate everything they sent! The furbabies love it! If you don't get a direct thank you from us, it's because we didn't get a gift receipt to see who you are! But we do THANK YOU! ❤️ I will be posting our wishlist as I have people calling to find out what we need or want. The list includes any item that will help us in different ways. Some are to help take cute photos of animals, which will help them get adopted quicker. The cages are for extra space when we get full. And of course it includes food, treats, medication and other items But again, thank you all for the donations! ❤️

🚨🚨🚨Missing dog!!! Missing from Fire tower RD Jackson NC area! Please be on the lookout. This little girls owner treats her like a child, cooking her special meals that the dog will/can only eat... She needs to get home ASAP. Owner slept outside after riding all night looking for her... This baby is LOVED. If you have picked her up, please return her (call... No questions asked). She needs a special diet!

These are our longest residents! They are still waiting for their forever homes! These babies are still up for adoption or Rescue. Update on bulldog transport*** Kym ran in to a issue with her tire being sliced when leaving the shelter, no nail, nothing slow... but a huge leak. She is currently having to buy a new tire and have it put on. So donations will help. Those furbabies are waiting patiently in her SUV as it sits running with air conditioning, tring to get that tire replaced! Did that stop her? Nope. Still going to truck it to VA to get these babies to safety! Big shout out to KYM. So sorry this happened.... But thank you for not giving up on the transport ❤️.... Donation information below. (You know we don't ask for donations... But In this case it's much appreciated to help her out since she is taking all these babies..from our county up north for us)

Both girls were adopted together today!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

These 2 girls are still in need of a rescue or adopter ASAP. They are sisters and only a year old. Anatolian shepherds. They are good with other dogs and are very bonded. They love all humans as well. Molly has the black mask and Maggie has the white face. These pictures honestly do no justice. They are gorgeous 🥰 and will be larger dogs. Adopters or rescues... Meet Bowie. He is a regular size beagle. Short and cute. Bowie loves other dogs and people. I wouldn't put him in a home with a cat as he chases them as hard as he can. Sending a big shout out to Rainbow Animal Rescue of North Carolina and Jackie Stanley for their help, and Sunshine Mallick for transporting animals to rescue on Monday! A hound and 3 kittens! Transporters help save lives ❤️ and Sunshine has definitely saved many ❤️ We can't think you both enough!

This guy is no longer available! His owner came and picked him up! ❤️

We now have this cute lil guy up for adoption! He is around 4-5 months old. Very friendly, and litter trained. We have been calling him "Howie" He came from a situation where he was an outdoor cat, but has quickly realized he likes the indoors better. Update**** Owner decided he could work out the issue and reclaimed Koda. So he is no longer at our facility. Thanks for the help sharing this guy! It really helped him get out there.

This is Koda. A owner surrender. He has been a indoor dog who would be let loose to use the bathroom. He was running through neighbors yards which became a problem. He is up for adoption or Rescue. He is 5 years old, and is house-trained. If he is indoors with you he will lay down most of the time. If he is left outside he will constantly bark for attention. He is very friendly and has enjoyed the company of a couple of dogs at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting or rescuing this guy, please contact Northampton County, NC Animal Shelter at 252-534-1125 or message our page. Comments are not seen as quickly. He is not neutered and will have to be. He has an unregistered chip. And has a small area of fluid or fatty cyst under his head around the top of his neck. It doesn't hurt him, but will have to be looked at by a veterinarian. Please SHARE if you can't help this baby out of the shelter!
