Due to inclement weather, Grooming will be CLOSED Wednesday 2/18. We will reassess tomorrow to see if we need to close Thursday as well.
Boarding and Daycare will remain OPEN for our regular lobby hours. If you are scheduled to drop off or pick up for boarding/daycare, we will have the cell number posted by the front door so you can reach us if the door is locked.
**In the event that you are unable get here to pick up from daycare due to the road conditions, please bring enough food (and feeding instructions) for your dog to stay overnight if necessary.

We will have staff here caring for our guests, but possibly no one scheduled specifically for the desk. If you call us and there is no answer, then please message us through Facebook or Paw Partner.

OPEN WIDE! 🦷
Did you know that February is National Pet Dental Health Month? Poor dental health can lead to very serious and painful health conditions, so regular maintenance must be done to keep your pup happy and healthy!
We can brush teeth as an add on to your pup's grooming appointment, but regular at-home maintenance and professional vet checkups are also incredibly important.
Some vets may offer a discount on dental cleanings during the month of February!

Paw-fait & Play!! We celebrated (2/6) this week by indulging in some pup safe yogurt parfait treats!
Ingredients varied but included pumpkin puree, nonfat greek yogurt, peanut butter, crunchy treat "granola", apples, bananas, and strawberries.

What a transformation! We were so excited to give this sweet rescue Cocker Spaniel a much needed fresh start! Her personality really started to show once the hair came off. The happy butt wiggles and goofy smiles made it all worth it!

February's Top Dog is Miss Sadie Lou! She is very affectionately known as "Puppy Horse" and "Little Horse" because she's currently a solid 125lbs and is still growing and filling out. We have had the pleasure of watching Sadie Lou grow into her lanky legs and giant ears. She still has no clue just how large she is and absolutely thinks that she's a little lap dog like her brother, Buddy (who was actually our Top Dog last February- https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=901399678652497 ).
Sadie Lou LOVES participating in all of our crafts, photoshoots, and special treats. Her best friend is her Shih Tzu brother, and often shows her love by gently chewing/slobbering on him.

Here is our tentative calendar for the month of February. All of our activities are complimentary for our daycare and boarding guests as a thank you for trusting us with their care. You are welcome to opt your dog out of any activities as you see fit. Just let us know at drop off!

Enrichment puzzles are PERFECT for rainy days when playing outside isn't as enjoyable (at least not for everyone).
Food enrichment like puzzles, snuffle mats, lick mats, slow feeders, and treat-dispensing toys allow dogs to use their natural foraging instincts and strong noses. These activities can help reduce stress and anxiety, expend extra energy, and even build confidence!
There are many different types and difficulties to cater to your pup's individual needs and skill level. Food enrichment is a great tool to add into your routine, and we love using puzzles and other fun feeding methods here at the Paw Spa!

Here’s your reminder that just because it’s cold outside, it doesn’t mean fleas and other parasites completely die out. Don’t forget your pup’s flea & tick meds even in the winter months! We check every dog who enters our building very thoroughly to catch any signs of parasites and keep them from spreading.
If you’ve noticed that your dog has been extra itchy lately—even if you haven’t seen any signs of fleas—then PLEASE let us know at drop off so we can get another set of eyes on them.
We’re not here to shame or judge! We only want what’s best for your pup and every other dog in our care!! 🩵
