When Karen Rasmussen’s 4-year-old black cat, Ninja, went missing at the beginning of August, she figured he was out mousing.
Today’s theme…our own Sarah Pickens! Sadly, Sara will be leaving us later this month and moving to Colorado. We thought having a Sarah tribute day was appropriate! While we will miss her dearly, she will always be part of our SCAH family. We have had SOOO MANY great times together! We love you Sarah Pickens🖤🦇

With heat waves sweeping across the country, blue-green algae is appearing in new areas and posing an increased risk to pets.
Found in lakes, ponds or any source of standing water, it’s extremely toxic and consuming it can be fatal. The best way to prevent accidental poisoning is to keep a close eye on pets when they’re around water.
If you think your pet has been exposed, take them to the nearest emergency veterinary hospital and contact the ASPCA Poison Control at 888-426-4435.

Hi friends! This is Sumayah Holden here😊 As some of you know, I am the SCAH Hospital Manager. You may not know that in my MANY years in this field, I have done every job in an animal hospital/resort (except Vet). Front desk, assistant, kennel, Registered Vet Tech and of course, Practice Manager. So I can say from experience that our team is truly outstanding in every position and department💜 We have been honoring our amazing Nurses this week for National Veterinary Technician Week! I wanted to take this opportunity to show my appreciation for our ENTIRE TEAM though! I cannot adequately express how proud I am to get to work with the team/family we have at SCAH. The knowledge, compassion, care, expertise, dedication and willingness to go above and beyond are truly inspiring! Our customer service specialists, Aspen, Sarah and Alanis. Our resort team, Amy, Denise, Cinthya and Krista when we are in a pinch. Our tech team, Chloe, Bri, Duggins, Courtney, Faithe, Steph and Dustin. My co-manager Fabrianne and Steve our after care specialist. Of course we can’t leave out our doctors, Rob, Kaley, Eva, Stephanie, MJ and Elliot (who joins us Monday).
