So now the head guy has gone back for more parts… this is his fifth time in this 28 hour fiasco for him to “go get parts” i dont know about you, but in my experience of having jobs over the years, you know what parts you need when you show up to do a job. Granted, maybe one trip back for parts is understandable, but FiVE?
And the city pays a guy salary and benefits to “hold a pipe”. SMH.

I have rescued an assortment of rescues over the years; I have rescued chickens, I have rescued goats, I have rescued sheep, I have rescued snakes, I have rescued horses, I have rescued cows, I have rescued mice, I have rescued dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds and fish. I have gone under houses, under buildings, down into storm drains, through culverts, into attics and into walls, and on roofs and into ponds.
Today, I received a call from my friend Melanie Christopher about a dog in a storm drain that had been barking for 4 days and could I come check it out. I quickly headed to the address given and met Jane Morgan who showed me the access to the storm drain that turned out to be a creek that runs through and under the Fondren neighborhood. This part of the creek is more of a cavern that has brick walls, concrete ceiling and concrete floor with the creek flowing through it.
I donned my tennis shoes, because this was not a flip flop situation, it probably needed boots, but I didn't have them with me. I also called my friend Pam Holmes to join me, she lives close by and if this dog was large, I was going to need help getting the dog out. So, Pam climbed down with me to go in search of the dog.
We got down there, straddled the water and went as far as we could before it got too deep and waited for the dog to bark. And waited. crickets. no not actually, there were no crickets. it was quiet sans the water flowing through the creek. I tried to open my app to play the sounds of a dog whimpering and barking, but silly me, down in a cavern, surrounded by concrete there is no internet. (I would never survive in the wilderness), so I made the sounds myself and waited for the dog to respond. and waited. Finally! It barked! One monotone bark. wait wait wait. THEN ANOTHER BARK. a single monotone bark. Then it did another.
It was a Barking Tree Frog, barking his mating call. He had been down there for the past four days, barking for a woman to come join
