Look at all those cute faces! The dogs in this album are currently in our program and available for adoption.

The first step in our adoption process is filling out a dog adoption application. Once submitted your application can be added to any dogs list of interested adopters. If you are the first qualified applicant in line you will be given the opportunity to meet the dog and take them home for a foster period, usually around four nights but our minimum is one! This gives you a chance to get to know the dog and decide if you want to adopt. If its not a good fit you can bring the dog back to us and we will move on in the list. Returning your foster dog doesn't disqualify you from meeting and fostering another dog! Our mission is to find these dogs the best home for them and sometimes that means staying with a few families before it's the right fit.

If one of the dogs in this album interests you please submit an application or email us - [email protected] - to let us know you already have an application submitted and would like your name on a particular dog's list.
You do not need to submit multiple applications, once your application is in it can be used for any dog you are interested in.

We can't wait to help you find a new best friend!

Salsa

8 weeks old, Female, Corgi/Heeler Mix

Meet Salsa! This gentle girl is as sweet as they come. She is totally happy just hanging out in her bed and loves belly rubs!
Our vets recently looked at her and determined she has abnormal growth plates. Currently she walks a little funny and may have a hard time keeping up. She needs to be monitored growing up, and when she reaches about 10 months old, we'll know what the next steps are to help her be the healthiest she can be!

The first step to meet one of these cuties is to set up a meet and greet by completing our online application. Please visit our website or Facebook to check out all of our adoptable cats! Once we receive your application we can move forward with scheduling a meet and greet. Your application will be valid for all cats moving forward.

For the safety of our staff, animals and community, there is a two person limit for in-peron meet and greets. We require all individuals to wear a mask and sanitize before entering the AAC. We can also accommodate a virtual meet and greet if requested.

Cat adoption fee is $100. If you're looking to adopt two cats you get the second one for free! Your adoption fee covers the spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations up to date! Cat adoption is considered final on the day you take them home, however; the AAC recognizes that an adjustment period of days or weeks may be necessary before they are fully comfortable in their new home. The AAC grants a two week trial period with cat adoptions to ensure that a good match is made. If a cat is returned within the two week trial we will refund the adoption fee.

-Adoption is considered final upon bringing your cat home and signing an adoption agreement, however; when adopting a cat the AAC recognizes that an adjustment period of days or weeks may be necessary before it is fully comfortable in it’s new home. The AAC grants a two week trial period with cat adoptions to ensure that a good match is made. If a cat is returned within two weeks of adoption we will refund the adoption fee.
-We welcome out-of-area adopters, but please be aware we do require prospective adopters to come to our facility and meet the animal in person. Before you make the trip we encourage you to fill out an adoption application and submit it, to be sure you will qualify to adopt. Adoption applications can be filled out on our website. We cannot "hold" any animal. We have a "first qualified adopter can adopt" policy.
-We will not ship animals.

GRAND RAFFLE ✨🦬 New Leash on Life

This year, our raffle winner will have the unique opportunity to select their own 36”x36” painting from Boughton Walden’s stunning collection.  

Boughton Walden is a modern western artist based out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Her work is deeply influenced by her love for wild animals and the cowboy culture, which have both been huge inspirations for her work. Her art has been featured in galleries throughout the Mountain West and most notably, the “Best of Wyoming Exhibit”. You’ll see her work hanging in local hotels, restaurants, retail stores, and professional buildings throughout Jackson.
Boughton and her partner Will are passionate animal lovers and supporters of the AAC, having adopted 6 of their beloved pets from the AAC and other local rescues since their move to the valley in 2008.
