We have a very unique situation unfolding right now. I will explain a bit before I go into everything.
Update-4-18-2025
We have a potential adopter, we need a backup so we are continuing to interview people. We do not want to start the fundraiser until we have all of the pieces in place. We never want to take advantage of animals by collecting money for any reason other than helping them. Stay tuned, we are actively working on this between kids and our jobs but she wont be there much longer! :))

6 months ago I came across a rottie tied to a chain in a dust bowl of a back yard. No toys, nothing but a chain and a doghouse.
I made contact with the owner by knocking on the door and asking about her. She is 6 months old and a complete love!! She melted into me when I pet her and let out the saddest most pathetic cry when I left her. She is on the verge of being broken.
I asked if he wanted her and he said no, he didn't have time for her but would sell her for $500.00. While I don't like the idea of paying for the release of any animal, I just don't know how else to legally get her out of there. This person is also moving soon so whatever it is I do it has to be fast. If he moves I won't know where she is anymore and surely cant help her.
We will also need a foster for her because she will need to be spayed. If you are interested in a female rottie and want to foster to adopt that's fine also, HOWEVER, she won't go to just anyone! Preferably someone who has rottie experience and understands the nature of these dogs. Rotties can and will push boundaries at times however they are sensitive and need to be with their people. They are very much a family dog!
She has papers I am told and is purebred (she does look it) but understand she will be spayed.
I cant post a photo at this time. I wish I could. If you are really interested you can message me and I will send a photo. I won't be sending to anyone just curious. Please only ask if your serious.

All of this has just happened so we are working g on everything. This baby has been on my mind for 6 months and today I couldn't take it. I walked up and knocked on the door. Stay tuned!!

These two bonded babies lost their dad and are now homeless with noplace to go. They are living with a wheelchair bound grandmother at the moment. I couldn't imagine passing and my beloved pets end up homeless! Please consider or if you cant please share. 🙏 Jackson Michigan

If you haven't already please sign this petition asking that Christopher Triplett get the maximum prison sentence for what he did to that poor dog.
The judge lowered his bond from 100,000 to 10,000 so this skum is out on bail! I would bet the farm he has done this before and will escalate to humans

I was message from an extremely loving pet owner who needs a boost. Unforseen medical and life disturbances has caused them to take a financial hit. The adults have cut back on everything including food for themselves to feed their furry family members. We have made a list of their needs and will share here. If you are able please consider purchasing something from the list. It would help them get back on financial track after losing a family member. Thank you.

Jarvis Robinson, sentenced to 6 months in jail for animal torture. He locked a momma dog in a house with her puppies. When she was found she was so emaciated she had to be euthanized.
Jarvis will do his 6 months in jail and then walk free. We can not let him live this down. He must be known for what he did to this dog so we can make sure he never owns another one.

Question for rescues, private rescuers etc.
There are two dogs living a very sad existence. They are surrounded by mud and water, are wearing chains as big around as my arm. They are isolated and sad.
The owner sees nothing wrong as he calls them his "yard dogs" and are security. ( tell me how a dog will protect you when tethered to a chain?)
There are no toys, very minimal human interaction, surrounded by junk and just an absolutely horrific life. No laws are being broken. They have a plastic house, at least 1 meal a day and a huge puddle to drink from. Our authorities do not advocate for better living conditions for these sentiment beings.
The owner won't let anyone do anything with these 2 rotties, we cant get a surrender. We have offered to buy them. Nothing.
I cant get them out of my head. I can feel their sadness and I cant do anything. Why get them if you subject them to a life of imprisonment like that? I just dont know what to do anymore.

Update- We do not want to seperate. Lots of messages for the puppy. The older one is also a puppy at a year. They have lived isolated and have only had each other. We are looking for a true rottie lover who understands and can take them both.

Rottie lovers and rescuers! We have a situation. An owner is willing to surrender 2 Rotties living on huge chains. One is young- 8 to 10 months old. The other is older. Both are isolated, sad and alone. Just seeing who is out there that may be interested.
Both appear very sweet. Unknown about how they are with cats, dogs etc.

Owner surrender. The owner was away at school and the person caring for his beloved pet failed to do so. The owner cannot care for him any longer and is asking for our help.
Very sweet 1.5 year old husky. Will need to be willing to have him seen by the vet. Temperament is very sweet.🐾
Please message us if you would like to meet him and are willing to give him a better life than he obviously has!!

Temperatures are going to seriously drop starting tonight and outdoor dogs WILL freeze to death! An igloo with straw is NOT enough. If you have an outdoor dog you must bring them inside starting tonight until Thursday.

Michigan laws regarding animal welfare are outdated and clearly need rewritten. We have evolved and understand that animals deserve certain protections especially if you choose to pick out a pet and clip a chain to it for the duration of its life. They can't find adequate shelter all they have is what you supply them and usually it's a barrel, a used doghouse from the "pet" they had before that is chewed from boredom and anxiety from never leaving the torture chamber they were placed into.
Although Michigan laws are outdated they do state when temps drop below freezing dry bedding is required!! Let's say for instance it wasn't a law- wouldn't you as a aco instruct the petowner to provide some type of protections in these brutal temps because you know its the right thing to do? How do they sleep in a warm bed at night knowing they could have made a difference but didn't and a living being is suffering?

Here are the Michigan 750.50 laws regarding insulation in a doghouse when temps become critical. All that we ask is that they are enforced. The day we called and begged AC to check on this dog it was a mere 18 degrees outside! Well below freezing. The photo was taken that day and the second was 5 days later. There is clearly no dry bedding, hay, straw nothing! This poor soul sleeps on a frozen board every single day of its life!
We are actively working behind the scenes to get help for this dog as well as others in our county. Maybe we should be buying straw and dry bedding here instead of spending money to bring puppies up from the south that end up here on chains?? Just a thought!
