Hello my Small World Family, as you all know, we try our best to educate all clients, also people who may not be familiar with how important it is to take your dogs to a professional groomer. This dog was home groomed by the owners. They told me they took scissors ✂️ and just started chopping hair off 😐. Now this dog hasn't been to me in over 6 months. Again...Doggie hippa 😉, and we don't disclose the parents or faces of dogs we post. These posts ARE TO HELP OTHER DOG PARENTS AND TO EDUCATE !!!....that is all 🤷🏽‍♀️. And definitely not make the owners feel bad. But I have to talk about home grooming. IF YOU ARE NOT A PROFESSIONAL DOG GROOMER...PLEASE DO NOT PUT SCISSORS TO YOUR DOGS. I explained to this parent this dog needs a FULL GROOM. She just wanted a mini -groom. Our mini groom does not trim the actual body of the dogs, but we wash, trim the face, paws trimmed, and private areas trimmed. I will say also this dog was not matted. What we explained is that we will shape up the whole body of her dog. She actually wanted her dog to look like this. Please keep in mind ...this dog is representing Small World...this is unacceptable. People are going to ask where did she get her dog groomed..and then our name is on the line. We did not do this to this dog. So my point is ..my Small World Clients..if I see your dog needing the body trimmed as well I am gonna say something. If you don't want your dogs body trimmed then I won't be able to groom your dog. This is bad for my company 😕. Yes we did the mini groom..but when I say I felt sick to my stomach 😩 the way the dog left looking like that..as a CEO ..never again. Yes the dog was nice and clean. But again, your dogs represent SMALL WORLD. Please understand how this makes me as the owner feel. I want your dogs to look AMAZING!!. So please you all do not wait a half of year to get your dogs groomed. Stay on a schedule, set aside money each paycheck for your dogs, $20, $30 dollars. Do whatever it takes. We spend money on things and just forget about the dogs. To my up coming puppy owners ..I will discuss alot pertaining to the care of your new puppies as well.

Dogs nail maintenance often sneaks up on dog parents, and overgrown nails can easily go unnoticed for significant periods of time. Nail 💅 trims bring a lot of stress to dogs and their humans, which often leads to putting off the dreaded task for even longer. This dog in my post hasn't been to me in over 6 months. When nails are left to grow out a long period of time, the (QUICK) will grow out with the nails...on some dogs. Long quicks makes it more difficult to get a dog's nails nice and short . Dogs nails should be trimmed every 2 to 4 weeks. While nail trims on (SOME) dogs bring a varying level of stress, they are NECESSARY to a dog's overall well being! I educate (ALL) my clients that walks through Small World door. If you are not a professional dog groomer, or a Veterinarian...PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CUT YOUR DOGS NAILS...I will also do a post about people doing home grooming as well. I have groomed dogs that has been traumatized by dog parents either cutting the nails themselves or trying to groom the dogs themselves. Dogs nails are sometimes sensitive...so please do not attempt to do them yourself. At Small World we only can do what you dog allows us to do . Although we are Dog CPR certified.....we do not want to cause any stress to your dogs. If the dog doesn't allow is to do their nails ...we will tell you. You have the option for us to try on your next visit, or take them to your Vet. Please stay on a grooming schedule so that your dogs can stay in routine of grooming.

This post is for people that may be looking to find a groomer. At Small World if we can't do a task on your dog.....I'M GONNA LET YOU KNOW WHEN YOU COME FOR PICK UP. We give report cards EVERY VISIT ...I DON'T CARE IF IT'S JUST A SIMPLE BATH. I'm going to let you know how your dog did. And from there what we need to work on with your dog. I hear so many stories about my clients previous groomers, and how the groomer never said anything about the dogs or gave them any report. This dog's ears was so impacted with fur .....I did get 90 percent of it our during the groom. There is no way the last groomer did anything to his ears. And nails were ridiculously long. You all when you take your dog to a groomer . Check over your dog to make sure they did everything before you leave. I show my clients 😌, and I ask them is their anything you need me to do before you leave. Some say no ..looks amazing..some say yeah..can you trim the tail a bit shorter....and I definitely take fluffy in the back and do it 😌. If your dog don't allow us to do a task .....I AM GONNA TELL YOU AND SHOW YOU. My point is..check over your dogs before you leave any groomer. Make sure ears are done and nails. And if they couldn't do it they should SAY IT and not have you thinking its done.

The 4th of July is here and of you are a dog parent we all know the fireworks 🎆 are annoying to dogs. Here is something you can make at home for your dogs to help muffle out the noise. As some may not know I am a seamstress, I sew and make dog clothing and items when time allows me 😂. The ones you see on my dogs I made and also the ones I use in my dogs spa. You can order these anywhere online..but I make these and you can as well. Take a old breathable sweater or stretchy type material shirt 👕 and cut the sleeves ..ITS THAT SIMPLE ..and measure it around your dogs head . Make sure it is not too tight and its stretchy ...cover their ears. We groomers use it when we are using a high force blow dryer. Any one can make this...you do not have to be a seamstress 😂. You can make any size depending on the cut and size of your shirt. You also can use stretchy pance as well if you have big dogs like a Rottweiler. I hope this helped. For my clients that is already established..if you own 2 dogs and want to book on a Saturday..book one of your dogs and just bring the other. If you book during the week , the booking app will allow you to book for both dogs. Saturday's we close at 2pm. Also New Clients PLEASE READ OVER MY POLICIES !!!. Vaccinations must be sent over by email before booking. Your Veterinarian can email me directly, just give them my email address. I would hate for you to book and We don't have your vaccination papers...because I will not groom your dog 😐. I know nothing about your dogs health and definitely rabies. I don't care if you know me personally....this is a requirement for my business. So if you booked and have not sent that over...I'm sorry , but I won't be at my spa to groom your dog. And you will have to reschedule your appointment. Please remember also I do not groom dogs with fleas or ticks. If I find them , I will charge you my fee on top of whatever services you booked. ..please do not compare me to other groomers or what they policies are. This is Small World and we don't groom EVERYONES dogs ........ I opened my business for the love of dogs and want Clients that understand that 😌. We are not a high Volume salon. I take my time with each dog. And make sure we aim to please for each client 😊.

Hello Everyone, I thought I should bring this to people's attention. If you can not trust SMALL WORLD OMG, LLC to groom your dog without being in my dog Spa ....please do not inquire or book (ANY) of my services. I had someone book and they sent over their vaccinations. I did a confirmation reminder. Then they asked if they can stay during the grooming process because their last groomer let them 😳. I had to call my fellow sis @smoochesforthepoochesllc to make her laugh 😂😂🤣🤣. We just was discussing how (customers) do the comparison game on us groomers. This person said she don't feel comfortable leaving her dog. Soooo many things I could have said but I didn't. So many questions I wanted to ask. Yes it offended me , because I have 2 dogs and run a legit business and if anything. I myself will report a person if I see any neglect on a dog. Maybe petco and petsmart would be the perfect place for this person or a Mobile groomer, You can STAND and watch your dog being groomed around other dogs in a stressful environment. Yes I said it ..because I myself seen it. And heard it from other groomers that worked for those corporate companies. My grooms are 1 to 1 in my SPA. It was the same when I was grooming in my home. 1 to 1. PEACEFUL. That being said all money is not good money. We as dog groomers can pick our environment. When I can sense a potential problem before hand, I rather you not be part of Small World Family. And I love working in PEACE. Not people looking and staring at me when I'm trying to connect with the dogs. Dogs tend to not behave well when the owner is around, they will keep moving and that can cause potential injuries to a dog.. MY SPA IS FOR DOGS ONLY .....Drop off and pick up, or dober for your dog. THANK YOU TO MY REGULAR CLIENTS THAT HONOR AND RESPECT MY DOG BUSINESS. My booking site we are working on and soon you will have to book on their. And my deposits are gonna be NON REFUNDABLE WHEN YOU BOOK.

ATTENTION, ATTENTION, SMALL WORLD IS NOW ACCEPTING DOGS UP TO 50 POUNDS. We have been grooming the smaller babies for many years, but like I said in so many posts . Small World is making changes. And as our business grows we will keep making changes. I've had so many people that wanted to bring their larger babies to us, well now you can . No we haven't forgotten the dogs over 50 pounds, but for right now we are adjusting to what Ray and I can do. In the near future Small World will have staff to help us on our growing journey 😊😉. We have been getting phone calls about our next litter. Thank you to my clients for the referrals as well, but once again Small World conducts virtual interviews 😊. It is a must with me . Tooo many people get dogs and they do not take care of them. I do not post anymore when my dogs are in the process of mating. I only post when my babies are born. We (OWN) the parents. Our puppies parents are in our home. Not down the street to a friends house 😂🤣. Some people do not have both the parents, so be mindful where you get your puppies and know who the parents are. My puppy clients has full access to us . They receive my personal cell and business phone number . Along with other great privileges.
