Emergency Exam Fee: $130
Our Emergency Exam fee covers:
A thorough history of your pet taken by our highly skilled technicians.
Your pet's weight and vitals assessment.
A comprehensive examination of your pet’s presenting illness, injury, or emergency by our experienced doctors.
Direct one-on-one communication with our doctor, who will recommend the appropriate treatment and address any concerns you may have as a pet parent.
Itemized Estimates:
Any additional costs will be provided in the form of an itemized estimate. Our technicians will go over the details with you and answer any questions you might have during this step.

This kitty was playing around some fishing poles, and what seemed like innocent fun quickly turned into a run to Pet Urgent Response and Emergency. This beautiful Bengal kitten got into a bit of trouble with a fish hook lodged in her mouth. You can't tell by these photos, but this baby was unfazed! Animals are so resilient and handle things with such calmness compared to us humans. 😂 We are happy to report that we successfully removed the fish hook and sent this baby back home with her pet parents. 🐾❤️
Meet Arnold, a retired military dog who came to Pet Urgent Response and Emergency to be seen for an ear infection. We were able to send Arnold home with the medication he needed to resolve the painful ear infection that brought him to us.
We are happy to report that Arnold is doing well at home with his loving family!
Meet Zeke, the strikingly handsome Doberman! Looking at him in this photo, you would never know he came to see us at PURE for a laceration he got after playing in his backyard. Zeke’s owners did the right thing by bringing him in, and we were able to fix him right up!

Harley, a 3-year-old Husky, came to PURE not feeling so well. During her visit, she gained a new friend in Hailey while receiving her sub-q fluids. Harley loved laying like this with Hailey, soaking up all the love and attention before going home with her family.
We love seeing our team and patients bond like this. It’s moments like these that make our work so rewarding!

Dr. Garcia is posing here with Cheddar, one of Springfield Cat Rescue's bravest kitties. Cheddar was found in the middle of the interstate with a degloved jaw and has been through quite the journey.

Whether he's fighting for a pet's recovery or gently guiding pet parents through their final goodbyes, Dr. Garcia’s compassion and dedication shine through.

Heatstroke warning - Keep your pets safe
In Florida, temperatures can reach dangerous levels, making any pet susceptible to heat stroke. An onset of heatstroke can happen in a matter of minutes outdoors 🥵… This is especially true for our brachycephalic breeds, which have what many describe as smooshy faces or short muzzles. Examples include English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Shih Tzus, Bostons, and Boxers. However, remember that any breed can be affected by the Florida heat.
Meet Sammy, a 4-year-old Boxer we successfully treated for severe heat stroke. Sammy’s family knew something wasn’t right and rushed him over to us! We are happy to report he is back at home with his loving family ❤️!!
Sammy’s story is a reminder of how important it is to keep our pets cool and hydrated. Always provide plenty of water, shade, and avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
Keep an eye out for signs of heat stroke such as excessive panting, drooling, weakness, and confusion. If you suspect your pet is suffering from heat stroke, seek immediate veterinary care.
Stay safe, and keep your furry friends cool! 🐾❤️
This handsome but very swollen guy came to us after being bitten by a venomous snake. Luckily, his owners recognized the danger and sought emergency care for him in a timely manner. To all pet owners, please use caution when outdoors, especially in wooded or high grass areas. Honestly, there's no safe zone here in Florida from snakes, both venomous and non-venomous. If you’re ever in doubt, remember that time is of the essence when dealing with snake bites.
This pup was very lucky and, while in our care, received lots of love, attention, and, of course, yummy treats. We are happy to report he made a full recovery and is doing wonderfully at home with his loving family. 🐾❤️
