I have had a few people message me about poodles. We no longer breed but Lester Andrea Logray has some beautiful pups that will be available in about a week. They are AKC but she is selling for a more than reasonable price. Pet only with no papers due to an upcoming surgery. They are located in southern Louisiana. Please message them for more information. They are trustworthy people you will find easy to work with.

Abby and our little senior Coco had a spa day today. They are kinda liking city life. I am so surprised at how much Abby likes it. Not that she is wild or hyper but she has a high prey drive and loves to run. But she is enjoying just lounging just fine.

So I am going to offer Stella to a new 🏡
She is just over a year and an Abby Cash pup and a beautiful brindle parti. She is a little on the shy side but warms up quick. She is crate trained and house broke. We do have a dog door she uses. We just have not been home and our kids are house sitting and she is alone all day and no longer has the younger dogs to play with. As much as I hate to give her up I think she needs a home with playful dogs and such. I will be in Texas Labor Day and she can be picked up in Jacksonville Tx. Or I can meet along my route back to Oklahoma City. She is current on vaccines. She is a little rough in the picture and I can get more when I get home. She is for sale and not free but I am willing to work with the right home. She will need to to someone with a fenced yard. She needs the room to run and she runs hard and fast.

I have had several messages about gastric dilatation volvulus, commonly known as bloat. Here is a description of bloat and common symptoms. With poodles being a large breed deep chested dog it can happen. It does tend to run in some lineages and we have not found that in our lines. Here are a few things that can cause it. A dog that eats fast and gulps water or food is more likely than one that eats slow. Also, this has been proven to have higher percentages with elevated food and water bowls. If your dog eat fast please get a slow feed bowl. You can even use a utensil tray for a drawer from the dollar store. Having owned horses for many years it’s very similar to colic which we also see a lot of during extreme heat. This makes me wonder if it can affect dogs this way also.

I get asked all the time if I recommend gastroplexy at neuter/spay. I am not a vet and I go on information we have experienced or been given. This is a choice totally up to you. Many of our PWP families have choose to do so successfully with no issues. While it does make the odds a lot less your dog can still have issues.

One of our sweet PWP families could use our prayers. Their beautiful Kai bloated last night and had emergency surgery, the next few days are critical. He is the sweetest most beautiful boy and so is his family. Please keep them your thoughts!
