Our most recent Spay Day was a success! Our University of Florida veterinary student interns worked alongside multiple staff and training DVMs who were on site to provide in-depth instruction on best practices for high quality, high volume spay neuter surgery.

We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to teach so many incredible students about all of the care that FCNMHP provides for our community 🐾💚

Cyrus's mom visited us during our latest Paw-sitive Wellness event to get her sweet, one-eyed baby his latest vaccines and annual prevention.

Cyrus’s family relies on our Pet Food Bank to supplement his diet. They have also used our TNR services to help spay and neuter approximately 20 cats! Five of those cats grew up on Cyrus’s mom’s property and still live there after five years.

“I’m so glad I discovered this place [FCNMHP]!,” Cyrus’s mom told us. “I’ve been coming here ever since I did!” 🐾💚

Angel, a member of the family since she was a tiny puppy, was attacked by another dog and needed advanced emergency surgery. The family was beyond themselves with fear and sorrow. Angel was rushed into emergency surgery where her leg was amputated and her life saved.

“My newest great-granddaughter learned to walk holding on to her back and sidestepping. It broke my heart to see my granddaughter crying because we thought we were going to have to put her down. Thank you so much. You’ve answered my prayers.”

It is only through generous community support that FCNMHP is able to assist pets like Angel, allowing her to remain with her beloved family! 🐾💚

Seven-year-old Zoey came to First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) with Pyrometra - a serious uterine infection that can be life-threatening for dogs.

Her family was unable to pay for the critical care that she needed. Because of the support of The Grey Muzzle Organization FCNMHP skilled veterinarians and staff saved Zoey and returned her to the loving home she knows. Her parent, Justin, expresses the incredible bond that he and his “only child” share.

“Since I met my now-wife, Zoey has been more than a best friend could be. She’s the only I’ve ever had and has shown me that you can get just as much love from a pet as you would a person. Since she and I were introduced to each other we’ve been virtually inseparable. At times my wife will get jealous of us. She’s our only child and we can’t let anything happen to her.”

There are many stories like Zoey’s, and without the support of Grey Muzzle, many senior dogs would not have the happy ending that Zoey and her family had. FCNMHP’s partnership with Grey Muzzle keeps senior dogs where they should be – safe and healthy in their loving homes. 🐾💚

Mika has been with her mom, Yomary, for a year and since she was only 10 weeks old. “I have faced a lot of challenges in this last year, including separation, and Mika has become my best friend and emotional companion, Yomary told our team. “I adore her to death and these circumstances are heartbreaking for me because I only want what’s best for her so she can be the happy, silly dog she has always been.”

Yomary brought Mika to us after she was struck by a car, which left her needing a bone-plating procedure- a procedure that Yomary worried would be out of her budget. Thanks to our generous donors, Mika received the treatment she needed at a rate within her mom’s budget!
Now, Mika is back at home with her family who loves her, recovering and becoming her old, silly self again! 🐾💚

Edward saved his best friend, Salem, four years ago when he was just a kitten! “I bottle-fed him and have had him ever since,” Edward told our team.

Salem started to experience signs of a urinary blockage, so Edward brought his best friend to FCNMHP for help, hoping that Salem’s care would be within his budget.

Our medical team provided Salem with the treatment he needed in order to go back home with his best friend, and thanks to your support, all his treatment was within Edward’s budget! Now, Salem is back at home, happy and healthy! 🐾💚

“Ateby is a part of my family- my only family member besides my mom. She is a trained service dog and loves everyone she meets,” Kristen told our team about her pup.

When Ateby was attacked by another dog, Kristen brought her in for care as soon as possible. Kristen was between jobs and worried that Ateby’s care would be out of her budget. “I have no way to pay for her emergency care, FCNMHP saved her life and my own.” Thankfully, Ateby’s care was partially funded by our generous donors- giving her more time with her best friend.

Now, Ateby is back at home recovering with her family who loves her! “I am very grateful for the care she received, thank you so much!” 🐾💚
