While Kendall was still in college last year, she rescued Bruce when he was in need of a new, loving home. โ€œAt the time I had just stopped running track due to a knee injury/ surgery and was a little depressed. I thought it would be the perfect situation for Bruce and me, as it seemed we both needed a new companion,โ€ Kendall told our team.

When Bruce suddenly started exhibiting signs of discomfort, Kendall brought him into our clinic to get care for her best friend that would fit within her budget as a recent grad. Thanks to the support of our incredible donor base, Kendall was able to give Bruce all the care he needed to feel better.

โ€œBruce helped me get through a tough phase and in ways, helped me graduate college. I love him so much, and donโ€™t know where Iโ€™d be without him.โ€
Now, Bruce is back home with his best friend Kendall, recovering and happy! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Jacksonville University pre-med and pre-vet students came to our Norwood facility recently to support our incredible Spay/Neuter team! They helped our team refill critical vaccines, assisted with post-operation care for pets, and helped to restock other essential supplies so our team could focus their efforts on the pets in our community!
Thank you, for contributing your time and hard work for our team! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Shane rescued his best friend, Rocky, from an abusive situation four years ago. โ€œWe got him and showed him that love is all he deserves from his new family.โ€

Rocky got injured by another dog, so Shane, worried about his best friend, brought him to us for treatment within his budget. Our team of veterinary experts was able to provide Rex with the treatment he needed in order to send him back home happy and healthy! Now heโ€™s recovering at home with his family who love him! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Sheila has had her best friend, Rex, in her life for the last 10 years when he was just one year old! โ€œHe was very timid and I had to lure him inside with food. Now heโ€™s my best friend, we live alone and have a very close bond.โ€

Sheila noticed that Rex injured his ear but worried that he would need treatment that fell outside of her budget. When she brought Rex to our clinic, our team was able to diagnose and repair Rexโ€™s ear hematoma for a cost within Sheilaโ€™s budget- thanks to the support of our incredible donors!

Now, Rex is back at home with his best friend! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

This Sunday, FCNMHP had the pleasure of hosting 20 University of Florida veterinary school students for an incredible teaching opportunity with our surgical teamโ€”our first FCNMHP Spay Day!

Multiple staff and training DVMs were on site to provide in-depth instruction on best practices for high quality, high volume spay neuter surgery. The day was a huge success and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to teach so many incredible students about all of the care that FCNMHP provides for our community ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

We are immensely grateful for our veterinary technicians and the incredible work they do! They are essential to the daily operations of veterinary clinical practice, spay and neuter services, and maintaining animal welfare and health. Just as human healthcare relies on nurses, anesthesiologists, radiation technologists, and laboratory technologists, veterinary medicine combines all these roles into one superstar position: Veterinary Technicians. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to our everyday heroes! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Maggie was driving downtown when she noticed two JEA employees stopping traffic in order to get two dogs out of harmโ€™s way. โ€œMomma and Babyโ€™s rescue was a labor of love and testament that it does take a village!โ€ Maggie told our team. โ€œI told the JEA men I had a good-sized fenced yard, so they proceeded to pick Baby up and put her in the back seat. One of the guys, despite fear she may bite, was able to pick up Momma. Instead of biting she gave him huge, loving licks! It is truly heartwarming to see two animals who have been wandering the streets, malnourished and scared, be so loving and trusting!โ€

Maggie acted as a good samaritan and brought Momma and Baby into our clinic, wanting to get these two sweet, malnourished pups off the street and cared for. However, not expecting the potential medical expenses associated with two formerly stray dogs, Maggie was worried that the care for Momma and Baby would be out of her budget.

Thanks to our incredible donors, Mommaโ€™s heartworm treatment was affordable for Maggie. Maggie didnโ€™t have to worry that the sweet dogs she just rescued would not receive care due to a cost barrier for their treatment. Now, they are receiving the care they need and are home running around their new backyard! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Ticiana rescued Micho 4 weeks prior to bringing him into our clinic after she found him on the street, crying out for help. โ€œWe posted everywhere to see if anybody lost their kitty, but nobody claimed him, so we decided to welcome him into our family! He has been such a blessing.โ€

Ticiana noticed that Micho started scratching his ear and decided to bring him to our clinic to have him evaluated, but she worried that the tests needed to diagnose the issue would be out of her budget. Thanks to our donor-supported Angel Fund, Micho was able to get a diagnosis and was treated at our clinic for earmites.

Now, Micho is feeling a lot better and is back at home with his new family who loves him! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š
