🎉 Spay Day Success! 🎉

Sunday marked our second April Spay Day clinic! 🐾

Thanks to a generous grant from the John R. Peterson Foundation, we had 20 amazing vet students in attendance. Coming from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, they proudly represented the classes of 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028! 💙

These future veterinarians gained hands-on experience in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) techniques under the guidance of incredible surgery coaches—all seasoned HQHVSN professionals. 👩‍⚕️🐶🐱

Animals for this clinic were brought in by and/or sponsored through partnerships with Jacksonville's Animal Care & Protective Services, Cats Angels, FIX THEM ALL, and Dobie Ranch Rescue

In total, 14 dogs and 11 cats received care—reducing future overpopulation and strengthening community animal welfare. 💪

Spay Days like this are more than just medical events—they’re investments in the future of shelter medicine and lifesaving care. We're so grateful to everyone who made this possible! ❤️

🦷🐾 Shoutout to the incredible UNF Pre-Dental volunteers! 🐾🦷

This past Friday, a dedicated group of students from the University of North Florida Pre-Dental program rolled up their sleeves and made a huge impact across our campuses. ✨

From restoring outdoor cat condos that provide shelter to our community cats at the Norwood location, to sprucing up the Volunteer Den at Cassat, and pressure washing the warehouse walls—this crew went above and beyond! 💪💦

Their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to giving back remind us how powerful volunteer support can be. Thank you for being part of our mission to help pets and the people who love them! 💙

🐾 Coco’s Journey from Heartbreak to Healing 🐾

Coco’s life started with heartbreak—passed between homes, unwanted, and afraid. But when Beatriz found her, everything changed. She saw beyond Coco’s fear and gave her the love she had never known. 🙏

Their bond became unbreakable—until tragedy struck. A severe urinary obstruction threatened Coco’s life, and with no way to afford the urgent surgery, Beatriz feared she’d lose her forever. 💔

Then, hope arrived. Thanks to the Angel Fund, Coco received the life-saving care she desperately needed. Now, she’s back home, safe in Beatriz’s arms, proving that love and kindness can rewrite even the hardest stories.✨

From TNR to Forever Family! ❤️

Our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program helps countless community cats get the care they need before being returned to their outdoor homes—but sometimes, a few special felines decide they’re here to stay! 🏡🐱

Some of our whiskered friends who initially came in for TNR clearly weren’t interested in heading back out. Instead, they’ve become part of the FCNMHP family, charming staff and volunteers with their unique personalities.✨

Whether they’re sunbathing in our offices or greeting visitors at the door, these unexpected residents remind us that every cat has a story—and sometimes, their happy ending is right here with us. 🥰

Our Pet Food Bank provides essential food assistance to families in need, helping them keep their beloved pets at home and out of shelters. But right now, demand is rising, and our supply is running critically low. 😓 Both dog and cat food are needed more than ever!

With six official drop-off locations and an expanding reach, we’re working hard to help as many pets as possible—but we can’t do it without you! 💙

🎉 Spay Day Success! 🎉

Thanks to a grant from , this was our largest clinic yet, with 21 amazing vet students from representing the UF College of Veterinary Medicine classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028! (, , and 💙)

These future veterinarians gained hands-on experience in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) techniques under the guidance of five incredible surgery coaches—all seasoned HQHVSN professionals. 👩‍⚕️🐶🐱

Animals for this clinic were brought in by and/or sponsored through partnerships with Lucky Cat Adoptions and .them.all (Baker County).

In total, 9 dogs and 12 cats received care—reducing future overpopulation and strengthening community animal welfare. 💪

Whiskers & Wheels 2025 at was a massive success—and it’s all thanks to YOU! 💙

We’re thrilled to share that this year’s event brought in a record-breaking $100,275 in revenue—an 83% increase over last year! 🎉

That’s not just a number—it’s a lifeline for the pets and people we serve. Because of your generosity, we’ll be able to:

🐾 Exciting News for Northeast Florida’s Pet Community! 🐾

We’re thrilled to announce that First Coast No More Homeless Pets (FCNMHP) has received a $25,000 grant from Petco Love to expand access to affordable veterinary care, with a special focus on spay and neuter services for community cats. ❤️ 🐈

This grant is part of Petco Love’s $1.5 million nationwide initiative aimed at supporting low-cost veterinary care providers. With this funding, we expect to provide over 540 critical surgeries for community cats, reducing shelter overcrowding and improving the health and welfare of our furry friends across the region. 🙌

We’re so grateful for this investment in our community and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on pets in need. Thank you to Petco Love for supporting our mission to improve pet welfare and help keep pets with the families who love them. 🥰

🚧 Facility Update – Starting April 15 🚧

We’re excited to share that renovations at our Norwood S/N facility are moving right along! 🎉

Starting Tuesday, April 15th, our front lobby will be closed for construction for the next few weeks.

🐾 New check-in spot: Head to the garage door entrance, where we’ll welcome you at our community cat lobby.

🪑We’ve added extra seating in the hallway to keep everyone comfy while you wait.

🚗 Parking update: About half the lot will be fenced off, but parking is still available—including in front of the garage.

💙 Paws-itive Impact, Powered by Volunteers 💙

Our recent Paws-itive Wellness and Nourish event was a huge success—and we owe so much of that to our incredible volunteers! 🙌🐾

From guiding families through the process to helping with check-in, organizing supplies, and comforting pets, our volunteers showed up with compassion, energy, and heart. Because of their dedication, dozens of pets received vital wellness care, vaccines, and a 6-month supply of flea and heartworm prevention. 💉🩺

This event wasn’t just about medical care—it was about community, connection, and compassion in action. Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time to make a difference. You are the reason these pets and their people are safer and healthier today. 💪❤️

🐾 Paws-itive Wellness & Nourish: A Day of Care & Compassion! 🐾

This past Sunday, April 6th, we had an amazing time at our Paws-itive Wellness & Nourish event, providing essential veterinary wellness care, annual vaccines, and tests to pets in need. Thanks to this initiative, each pet that attended and tested negative for heartworm received a six-month supply of heartworm and flea control medication, ensuring they stay happy and healthy. 💙🐶🐱

Events like these are life-changing for families in our community, and we are so grateful to everyone who made it possible—from our dedicated team to the pet parents who entrusted us with their furry companions. Together, we’re creating a healthier future for pets! 🥰
