Edward saved his best friend, Salem, four years ago when he was just a kitten! โ€œI bottle-fed him and have had him ever since,โ€ Edward told our team.

Salem started to experience signs of a urinary blockage, so Edward brought his best friend to FCNMHP for help, hoping that Salemโ€™s care would be within his budget.

Our medical team provided Salem with the treatment he needed in order to go back home with his best friend, and thanks to your support, all his treatment was within Edwardโ€™s budget! Now, Salem is back at home, happy and healthy! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

โ€œAteby is a part of my family- my only family member besides my mom. She is a trained service dog and loves everyone she meets,โ€ Kristen told our team about her pup.

When Ateby was attacked by another dog, Kristen brought her in for care as soon as possible. Kristen was between jobs and worried that Atebyโ€™s care would be out of her budget. โ€œI have no way to pay for her emergency care, FCNMHP saved her life and my own.โ€ Thankfully, Atebyโ€™s care was partially funded by our generous donors- giving her more time with her best friend.

Now, Ateby is back at home recovering with her family who loves her! โ€œI am very grateful for the care she received, thank you so much!โ€ ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Kenjiโ€™s journey began when his mom, Barbara, found him abandoned at a boat ramp near the beach. "We saved him and brought him home," Barbara recalls, but little did they know, their bond would be tested in ways they never imagined.

When Kenji developed a life-threatening urinary blockage, Barbara was devastated. She knew he needed urgent care, but the cost of treatment seemed overwhelming. "FCNMHP saved Kenji's life two years ago when his urinary tract was blocked, and now, two years later, theyโ€™re saving him again," Barbara says, her gratitude evident.

Thanks to the unwavering support of compassionate donors like you, our team was able to provide the life-saving treatment Kenji desperately needed, all within Barbaraโ€™s budget. Today, Kenji is back home, recovering alongside his best friendโ€”thanks to the generosity that made this possible. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

Kieko came into Ericaโ€™s life two months ago when she appeared in the bushes in Ericaโ€™s backyard! โ€œIโ€™ve been working so hard to get her back in good health, I could see her hips when I found her,โ€ Erica told our team. โ€œShe was instantly attached to me. In such a short time she has stolen my heart!โ€

Erica noticed Kieko was feeling a bit under the weather and brought her to FCNMHP to get a diagnosis for her new best friend. Our medical team discovered that Kieko needed to be treated for parvovirus, but Erica was worried that treatment would be out of her budget.

Thanks to the support of our incredible donors, Kieko received the care she needed for a cost within Ericaโ€™s budget! โ€œI canโ€™t imagine losing her, I just want to give her the best life I can. This is truly a miracle.โ€ Kieko is back at home, recovering with her new best friend! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

We recently had a visiting student- Kyjana, a Class of 2025 veterinary student from Glasgow University (through ASNA)- who trained with our Chief Medical Officer and our Director of Professional Development here at FCNMHP!

ASNA is a nationally recognized leader in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter and operates two training facilities on its Asheville campus, with training programs available for veterinary students, licensed veterinarians, and medical teams that work in mid- to high-volume spay/neuter environments. Due to the impact of Hurricane Helene on the Asheville community, S/N services were postponed. Our FCNMHP team stepped in to ensure Kyjana could access the mentorship and experience needed to continue her development in her field.

It was a pleasure to have her in both of our clinics during this time; thank you Kyjana for your hard work! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š
