Peanut crossed the rainbow bridge today.
What you don’t see behind this picture is…
A postal worker who stopped to pick up this poor soul.
Another post office worker who kept him at her desk and called around desperately for help.
A police officer who was told no ten times before he called Castaways.
A volunteer who drove to pick him up and bring him to Shoreline.
A wound that looked like something tried to literally rip him in half.
A vet staff that cares enough to keep him out of pain finally.

Guess what else you don’t see?
The inhuman filth that would allow their pet to live out his last days being pecked to death like roadkill.

So $420 later, we tried to give him the best ending we could possibly give him. If you can donate towards his final expenses, please, because pictures and words still don’t do enough justice for what happened to this little guy.

We are thrilled to introduce you to our newest addition, Miracle! 🌟 Despite the odds stacked against her, little Miracle is the sole survivor out of a litter of 12! 👶🏼💔 She's a true testament to strength and resilience.

This tiny bundle of joy has captured our hearts with her unwavering spirit and determination. 😻 Although she's still a bit too young to be ready for adoption, in a few short weeks, she'll be looking for her forever home! 🏡✨

Miracle is an absolute sweetheart, full of love and affection. Her melt-your-heart purrs and playful antics will surely bring endless joy and laughter into your life. 💕🎉

Burry Paws Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit rescue designed for the sick, injured, abandoned or orphaned. Our goal is to help cats and kittens in need in Onslow County, North Carolina and the surrounding area.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome cats and kittens who have been abandoned, abused, or neglected. To help control feral cat populations through public education and implementation of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR).

Burry Paws is a volunteer-based organization which relies on foster caregivers to provide loving, stable homes to homeless cats and kittens, helping them become the best possible pets for their future forever families. We do not have a brick-and-mortar facility (yet); our foster pets reside in our volunteers’ homes and become a part of the family until a forever home is found.
