While I was taking some photos of the babies, the old lady came out to see what was going on. This is Thon, our 34 year old ball python. She is actually a bit older than that, as we have personally had her for 34 years.

People often ask about the difference between fertile snake eggs and slugs. Slugs are yellowish and softer, less resilient shell, while fertile eggs are whiter and feel more solid. It's always a good idea to candle the eggs to check for veins. Veins indicate fertility. Sometimes, eggs are less fertile than others, but we still take a chance with those that have only a few small veins. Occasionally, they develop, but sometimes they don't. Big News from Anchored Morph Pythons! 🐍

We’ve got eggs! Kylo, our enchi spotnose clown, and Harley, our super pastel het clown, had 11 total eggs, with 5 slugs.
