MRI studies have revealed something amazing about dogs. Their love for their owners goes beyond food, toys, or even other dogs. Scientists discovered that when a dog smells its owner, a special part of its brain actually lights up more than it does when the dog smells food or another animal.

This part of the brain, called the caudate nucleus, is connected to feelings of love and reward. The reaction is so strong that it shows dogs aren’t just recognizing a familiar scent, they’re feeling joy and affection.

Happy First Day of Fall! 🍂... Sort Of! 😅
Northeast Florida fall is here and we're celebrating with... checks weather ...a cool 90° and slightly less soul-crushing humidity! 🌴☀️
Jacksonville fall vibes:
🏈 Jaguars season = optimism mixed with existential dread (as tradition demands)
🌊 Beach days without feeling like you're walking on the surface of the sun
🦐 Shrimp & Grits Festival weather that won't actually kill you
🎃 Pumpkin patches at... well, we'll drive to St. Augustine for the aesthetic
Our version of "autumn activities":

This 18-month-old Shih Tzu just had his first visit with us, and we're convinced he's actually an old soul in a puppy's body! 😎

While most pups his age are bouncing off the walls, Koda strolled in like he owned the place with that "been there, done that" vibe. Nothing fazed this little zen master! 🧘‍♂️✨

Koda is mom's ultimate travel companion - wherever she goes, he goes too! 🗺️ And let's just say this social butterfly LOVES meeting new people (and we're pretty sure he knows we're already head-over-heels for him! 💕)
