🩷 If you ask me what the most rewarding thing about my job is, I’d tell you about dogs like Alfie.

The first time I met Alfie, he was introduced as a senior rescue, with diminishing vision and little trust. He snapped at me pretty quick and continued to fight with me through out our first few grooms. I talked his mom into committing to comfort grooming and we took it at his pace, to his liking, every time. Alfie went from biting and stressed to so sweet and patient. He licks me just because and lets me do more than I ever imagined he’d allow me to. When he doesn’t like something, he nudges me with his nose instead of snapping. We’ve come such a long way together, and to see his growth and love for me, after being so scared and untrusting, to so at ease during the grooming process, it means the world to me. 🩷
