D-Day. Let us never forget these dates in history.. 80 years since the allied forces stormed those beaches & started the end of the world war.

During World War II (1939-1945), the Battle of Normandy, which lasted from June 1944 to August 1944, resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from N**i Germany’s control. Codenamed Operation Overlord, the battle began on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, when some 156,000 American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region. The invasion was one of the largest amphibious military assaults in history and required extensive planning. Prior to D-Day, the Allies conducted a large-scale deception campaign designed to mislead the Germans about the intended invasion target. By late August 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and by the following spring the Allies had defeated the Germans. The Normandy landings have been called the beginning of the end of war in Europe.

Good horse/naughty horse of the week!

We are at The Premier Sires show so it’s a show horse week

Good Horse: Elliot

Reason: at only his 2nd show Elliot is behaving like a citizen & taking care of his kid Becca ending up 3rd overall in the L1 youth HUS & placings in the halter

Naughty Horse: Huey

Reason: Huey was a little too playful on the LL & was a naughty boy for Emily Burke’s 1st time showing the LL which is rude. Dr Burke did a great job, but Huey, eating the Lunge line is frowned upon 🙄

Good Horse: Fay “Checkk My Money”

Reason: Fay took Brett around for an evening ride & he has barely ridden in his life & certainly never gone faster than a walk. Without spurs he loped her off & she packed him around like a seasoned show horse. Not bad for a green 3yr old!

Naughty Horse: Indy

Reason: Just look at the photo… do I need to say more? 🤦🏻‍♀️ Indy, please stop tormenting the other foals, they’re over your s*$t

Delayed Good Horse & naughty horse of the week! Sorry I was driving home yesterday!

Good Horse: Greg “The Sanddman”

Reason: I’ve been super busy with breeding season, horse shows & clients horses so I sent Greg down to Shane Kuhn & Greg got nothing but A++ on his report card while he was at his place.

Naughty Horse: Elsa “Queens In Checkk”

Reason: Elsa is honestly a champion, but she recently sold & after just being good horse of the week last week at WEC, she came home & decided to get bit in her eye & cost her new mom stress & unnecessary vet bills. Which will always cause you to be naughty horse in my book.

Good horse naughty horse of the week!!!

Today we’re keeping it in the horses who came for the Orange Blossom Classic And A Sudden Impulse Show.

Good Horse: Elsa “Queens In Checkk”

Reason: Else has never been to a show before & is very green, she came & cruised around WEC & down in the grand arena with all the show traffic like a seasoned pro with Sheila Grimes!

Naughty Horse: Gracie

Reason: Gracie was actually the top contender for Good horse of the week because she was being so awesome for her mom Sophie Fox. But she was clearly faking it, or trying to tell Sophie what she thought of trail riding, 🤔. Either way, she tried to buck her off on the trails & for that, you definitely get naughty horse of the week, sorry Sophie

Introducing good horse & naughty horse of the week!

Good horse: Gracie!

Reason: Gracie has been really starting to hit her stride & learn a lot. During her lesson this week with her mom Sophie, she really showed her everything she’s been learning & was an excellent citizen for her ❤️

Naughty Horse: Greg

Reason: In typical Greg fashion, he makes my guys nervous cause he always gets way too excited for turnout 😂 He’s actually not too bad, no one was too awful this week & he’s a good scape goat.

Good Horse/Naughty Horse of the week!!!

Good Horse: Gretta

Reason: I had ordered semen to breed Gretta & luckily not given her any ovulatory drugs & when the semen arrived, for some reason the ice pack was completely thawed & the swimmers were no longer swimming 🏊🏻‍♂️! Fortunately! Gretta hung on to her follicle till this morning so we have a 2nd chance & that definitely deserves good horse of the week!

Naughty Horse: Issac

Reason: I never thought sweet Issac would be the naughty horse (but in all honesty he isn’t naughty at all) he just keeps escaping under the fence from napping too close & it stresses his mom. No one was really bad this week, so unfortunately the escape artist gets the naughty horse award.

Yesterday was a wash 🌧️ So here’s good horse/naughty horse today!!

This week, our Good Horse is: Betty!

Reason: Betty was chased in the paddock & ran into a fence, causing her to be impaled under her utter. And regardless of how big the “splinter” was & her pain, she was an absolute perfect patient & was perfect to work on & take care of.

Naughty Horse: Demi

Reason: Demi gets naughty horse for obvious reasons, she was the culprit who chased poor Betty & caused her to be injured. 😡 No cookies for a month!

*Betty is doing very well, she got very lucky & is healing well already*

Ahh!!! I’m late today! We were so busy!

Time for good horse & naughty horse of the week!!

This week 100% had to go towards my breeding operation.

Good Horse: Greta

Reason: Greta is new to LPH & not only is she the largest horse on the property, but luckily she’s becoming one of the best. Greta is settling in well & our first attempt & flush of the season, gave me a beautiful grade 1 embryo 😍 for that reason, she 100% gets good horse of the week!

Naughty Horse: Ines

Reason: Though she is cute, Ines is Naughty with a capital N. She most definitely has the sass that did not come from her parents & she has attempted to kick everyone this week that has handled her or her mom. 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Definitely is in need of some attitude adjustments in her future…

Enjoyed the Kentucky Equine Research conference held at Golden Ocala Golf and Equestrian Club these past 2 days. Staying up to date on research, new studies being published & surrounding yourself with experts is paramount in continuing to provide the best care for our equines & furthering to improve the breeds.

👏🏻 to KER & all their staff for continuing to ask the questions, research & study so many important issues that plague all breeds & disciplines in the equine industry. Also while trying to educate professionals & the public!

Time for good horse and naughty horse of the week!

This week’s good horse definitely has to go to a favorite of mine.

Good horse: Gucci 🖤

Reason: Gucci is not only a great producer or beautiful foals, but she’s also an incredible mom. She is such a pleasure to deal with, is so laid back with her foals & people handing them. I couldn’t have gotten luckier with a mare & she knows it because she always gets the most cookies 🍪

Naughty Horse: Hudson

Reason: Hudson… bless his heart he is naughty & tries my patience, he wants to fight most things,(like leading & tying). Luckily he is wonderful in the round to work, minus we’re still screaming a bit. 2 weeks in a row, hopefully Hudson starts to get with the program soon or he’ll definitely be on track to make naughty horse of the year! 🙈
