Update on the Jail Danes! The three girls are in a foster home, and we’re working on placement for their brother. Thank you to everyone involved including the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Department, Jak’s Second Chance Rescue, and Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue and Rehab Srgdrr for the excellent teamwork it took to get them safe.

A reminder: don’t rely on family to care for your pets in the event something happens to you. They don’t always step up. Make provisions now: trusted family members and friends.

Just a quick update on the “Jail Danes.” Gator went to see the vet today at Timber Trails (formerly Jacksonville Cabot Vet Clinic) and got a complete exam, vaccinations, etc. He was such a good boy, nervous but very gentle and showed no signs of aggression. He’s a little underweight at 107 lbs and covered in scars, and of course he is heart worm positive. No worries—that’s fixable. He’s back at the Lonoke County Jail now with his sisters. His sisters go to Timber Trails on Wednesday where they will be assessed, tested, vaccinated, and spayed. They will stay overnight and then go to a foster.

Who let the dogs out? We did with the help of Save Rocky the Great Dane Rescue, local advocates including Jak’s Second Chance Rescue Ranch, and compassionate law enforcement, these big babies will be breaking out! They are in jail through no fault of their own, and they need bail money! Actually it’s vet and spay/neuter fees but that doesn’t sound so dramatic😂

The girls will be going to Timber Trails Vet Clinic on Wednesday and then to foster. The boy will go later. Please donate if you can because there are more dogs in that jail that need help too. Update on Griswald the parvo survivor. As you can see he is doing great! He went from 6.6 lbs to 25 lbs in just a few weeks and is loving his life. We’re going to do a DNA test on him. It will be interesting to see what he is, although we already know he’s 100% good boy ❤️
