Luna
Luna would like to thank everyone who donated toward her surgery❤️. She has a plate in her leg now and as you can see she is much happier. The bone had come right through the skin and you know that had to hurt. Better days ahead for you little girl 😊
Orbit Eleven ❤️
Update on Baby Girl and her 11 pups. All are doing well. This is the runt who is being bottle fed by a volunteer until he’s healthy enough to rejoin his family for some bonding and discipline from his mama. We are calling him Orbit Eleven. They go in for their first vaccinations in about a month. That should be a lot of fun 🤩
One of Baby Girl’s pups. Puppy breath is good for the soul ❤️❤️
Remember Major, the sweet pittie who wanted so desperately to get of the shelter? He did it! Facebook won’t let me post videos and photos at the same time but look in the comments for an update. He is home!!
We paid for his heartworm treatment while he was waiting. Please donate so we can do that again for the next pup in need. $548. Thank you ❤️
Morticia would love a home and family to call her own. She is a really calm and laid back girl ❤️
Major has been at the shelter way too long. He’s a sweetheart❤️. Unfortunately he is a pittie mix so cannot be adopted within the city limits of Jacksonville. 501 982 2916

Look at this pretty girl! She is looking for her forever home ❤️
This sweet boy is Archie and he would love a lap to curl up on. He is already neutered!
Adopted!
Jerry is a shy little boy who isn’t too happy at the shelter. A little TLC in a loving home is what he needs ❤️
Adopted! Tails is a cream tabby boy whose tail is just a couple of inches long. It was severely damaged and part of it had to be amputated. He’s still beautiful though.
Adopted!
Autumn is a sweet and friendly girl looking for her forever home. She’s declawed so must be inside only (we didn’t do it!). Adoption fees are waived.
Adopted!
Tim (grey/white) and Tori would love a home of their own. They don’t have to go together but we’re paying the adoption fee so why not? 😂
A local businessman has come up with a plan to renovate the Jacksonville shelter and expand it so that there are more kennels. The shelter has been overcapacity for many months, and dogs are being housed in outside kennels. These kennels were not meant for permanent housing. They are there for new dogs to be placed until they can be vaccinated and assessed for obvious signs of disease before going into the main shelter. It’s hellish hot in the summer and brutally cold in the winter.
There will be a City Council meeting December 15th at 6pm at Jacksonville City Hall where permission will be asked to go ahead. Once approved, funds will be raised to follow through with the plan. Please plan to be there to show your support for our animal shelter. This will be a community effort, A LOT of hard work, but we know it can be done.
The video shows the outside runs and right behind it is the original shelter which hasn’t been used since the 70s. Right behind that is the old police shooting range which was abandoned about three years ago. Plenty of potential and plenty of space!
Adopted!
Dasher and Prancer are ready for their new homes. They just need a ride so come pick them up!
Adopted!
Donner, tabby boy, looking for a home and family to call his own.

Thomas the busy-body who wouldn’t sit still for a photo then I caught him asleep with his feet in the air as I left.
