We have 170 animals we need to find homes for as soon as possible.

We are reaching out to our rescue friends for help!

Best Friends Animal Society is giving stipends to rescues that pull our dogs!

Dogs under 50lbs: $170
Dogs over 50lbs: $200
Litters of puppies(with or without mom): $250

You must clear a kennel to receive the stipends meaning if a kennel has more than one dog in it, you must pull both to receive the stipends.

Let’s work together and save some lives!

Sorry to be asking for money again, but this cat needs help and this is what we do. He has been surrendered and has a rescue commitment, but he has a bad break to his left front leg that needs repairing. He also has old breaks that are in the process of healing and puncture wounds so he has endured months, maybe years of ongoing abuse. That is being dealt with. The person who surrendered him isn’t the perpetrator but it is not in the cat’s best interest to go back to that home. He is being cared for at Jacksonville Animal Hospital if you want to call there and put money on his account. We can’t share his name right now for legal reasons.

Let’s focus on getting him better so he can enjoy the rest of his life in safety and with love. We estimate the surgery and follow up will be around $800.

As always, thank you 🙏

Thank you everyone, we have reached our goal and then some. Any extra money will be used for another sweet pup (info on her story coming soon). We know this story has angered a lot of people. In a perfect world, municipal shelters would screen potential adopters and do follow up visits, but it is just not possible. Shelters are short staffed, and many are at double capacity. Go volunteer at your local shelter if you don’t believe me. If you have dogs on the euthanasia list, and you have a potential adopter, you take a chance. Most of the time it works out fine. Don’t let an occasional as**at destroy your faith in human nature because MOST people are decent. Everyone is doing their best.

This sweet boy, Cash, was adopted in 2018. The first two photos were taken at the shelter. We paid for his neuter, shots, microchip, and adoption fee. The third photo is what he looks like now after being found abandoned. We called the microchip company and got the phone numbers of the original owner but unfortunately they have been disconnected. Cash is now emaciated and, you guessed it, heartworm positive. He looks like he’s been on his own a long time, but he is currently safe. Right now our first priority is to get rid of the heartworms. He has started on his pretreatment already. Heartworm treatment is expensive—about $700 to $1000 for a dog his size. Please donate if you can and let’s get him back to looking like he did at the shelter. He is being treated at the Jacksonville Cabot Vet Clinic.

As always, thank you ❤️❤️
