Hi everyone. I hope you all had a fun and peaceful Christmas. Now that the panic of the pandemic is over it’s nice to be able to travel and see your loved ones 😊

There are a couple of things I need to mention as we head into 2023.

Firstly, this is my public notice of price changes for 2023, all of which are reflected on my website. Over the past 16 years I have only put up my visit costs twice, each time one dollar. I have kept my prices super low for the longest time to the point where I’m now completely out of step with most other established reliable pet sitting companies throughout Jacksonville.

A quick Google search will verify this. Pet visits currently average between $25-$28 per visit. I’m not comforable raising my prices to this level, however with the economy in the toilet right now; gas, food, utility bills and the costs of everything going through the roof, I need to keep my company viable and the prices I charge, which have been the absolute lowest in this industry, are not going to sustain.

Just like y’all, I have to get the occasional pay raise to keep up with inflation! And I’m sure you’re all getting a yearly raise 😉

I am therefore raising my visit costs to $20 per visit which is still way below the market norm and this will allow me to operate my business and stay profitable. I sincerely hope you understand and continue to support me as I have forged many friendships with my clients over the years and have fallen in love with all your pets 🐶🐈🦜🦎

Secondly, I have prominently highlighted on my website (for the last 16 years) that I do not job share with anyone. In order for me to maintain my integrity and work ethic I have to make sure people are aware of this as I have allowed myself to be put in this position a couple of times and it makes me extremely uncomfortable and compromises my value as a service provider. Please do not ask me to share my pet sitting commitments with anyone as this completely goes against my work ethic.

Can you imagine going to work and being told that someone from a different department is now sharing your job! It’s very cringy uncomfortable. I have been and continue to be loyal and respectful to all my clients and would appreciate reciprocation. This is the most wonderfully personally rewarding enterprise I’ve ever been a part of but it’s also, again just like you, how I pay my bills.

Thank you all so much for your kindness and friendship over the years and I anticipate your understanding in not asking me to compromise my business.
